What a necro!

Senator-elect Rand Paul.

Among those here already, Tom Coburn probably.  Which shows what a group of turd sandwiches the current Senate is . . .

Among the elects - Paul and Rubio.

Of those already there - Barrasso. You'd have to be a constituent of his to understand.

Russ Feingold and Bernie Sanders

Without Russ Feingold my top three would be: Bernie Sanders, Sherrod Brown and Ron Wyden.

Of the current: Russ Feingold
Of the next Senate:  Michael Bennet

Also, I really find it funny how a lot of people listed Obama as their favourite senator earlier in the thread (as in 6-4 years ago).Tongue

Ditto, though I prefer Leahy more than Sanders.

At least Blanche has some semblance of an ideology. She's more coherent than Snowe, for the most part.

Upon further reflection you're actually totally right; Blanche and Snowe are equally incoherent. My mistake earlier was caused by the fact that I feel like Blanche is less discussed openly as some sort of "vote-get" by the Republicans compared to Democrats talking about "getting" Snowe on our side. But that probably has more to do with Democrats being more moderate than Republicans, and not anything specific to those two.

She's anti-PO, pro-HCR (Senate), against EFCA, for Fin. Reform, for Stimulus, good mix of buisness and unions, moderate social views, so yeah, she pretty much sums up my ideology (except for Cap-and-Trade, which I am for).
