Of those listed, John Edwards, however, I think this post should really be in US General Discussion or US Congressional Races possibly.

You must have misread the question. It was best, not worst.

The best Senator in MHO is Tom Daschle. Wellstone was good, but unfourtantly tragedy struck.

It WILL be Barrack Obama once hs's elected, but right now I'll vote Edwards  My actual favorite for the current set is McCain.

True, Obama is something special. He reminded me a bit of JFK and Clinton when he was speaking last night.

My second Favorite Dem in the Senate. My favorite Senate Dem is a certain Senator from Georgia. Smiley

My home state has one of the best, John Warner. He's a Republican, but he is a man of great integrity. (Our other senator, George Allen, is one of the worst.) I like John McCain, too. Joe Biden of Delaware is also a good one, as are Bob Graham and Joe Lieberman.

Would you vote for Mark Warner over John Warner?

Didn't they actually run against each other for Senate in '96? That must have been confusing...Warner vs. Warner.

Yes they did.  John beat Mark by 5%, but Mark did much better than expected an established a bright political future for himself.

That said, I don't really like the guy.

I just don't understand how you could run a race against someone with the same last name. All the signs and commercials must have real stressed the JOHN or MARK. Please don't mind my rambling about the same last name thing Smiley

Of the choices, Liddy Dole.  Otherwise, John McCain.

I did when they ran against each other a few years ago. I imagine that he will run against George Allen in 2006. If you think the '96 election was confusing, think of how confusing it'll be if we have two Senator Warners. I don't think John Warner will run again, though. He's getting pretty old.
