yeah but dutch dutch doesn't differ from flemish dutch in written language, but the sounds sound very different. Even dutch music is just so weird at times, but it depends from person to person, but there's like a universal accent switch even standard flemish with standard dutch.

Of course, i live in a region with a more distinct dialect from Flemish dutch, notably being difficult for other Flemish people to understand & speak to.

I don't watch dutch television often, don't hear dutch often in music. I have little exposure to Dutch culture.

thats not west flemish, its ghent flemish. I know the Ghentish dialect is influenced by West Flemish students but its not west flemish.

I'm partial to the European one, since it sounds more Russian, but Brazilian is probably more wieldy since they don't do that English switchy-thing.

It's a U.S.-based board and the country is famously English-only in most places, and most of the demographics here don't hail from any of the enclaves where there is another language.  It kinda makes sense.

I think that possibility that's only true of threads that are on the first page.


I usually post from my cell phone. I just now discovered by pure accident that I can enter letters like ñ ü à by holding down the the key for the letter.
That makes it easy to post in different languages which use the Latin alphabet.
