Least Favorites so far, based on performance in these roles? Have been pretty stable for the first half of this term, and low to zero drama overall.

Garland and Mayorkas are probably the worst although I don’t have string opinions about the cabinet except I like Raimondo.

I still don't understand the GOP hate for Mayorkas. He just seems to be the generic Homeland Security secretary for a Democratic administration (which is still not different enough from the Trump administration for many base Democratic voters). Either way, he seems to be just a stand-in for Biden's immigration policy, not someone who puts his own spin on anything. could replace him with anyone else with no difference.

It all goes down to "Muh Border Security" for the GOP's rationale on hating Mayorkas

I don't really have any negative feelings towards any of them, except being tepid on Garland.

Booty Judge is a certified moron and one of the least qualified people ever to hold a cabinet position. Don't really care about the others.

Most people don't know who the heck most of those cabinet officials are or what they do.

If it was a proper opinion poll the results would have been mostly the top 5 that people have heard about.

Raimondo and Buttchug.

E: I forgot Merrick "Soy Wojak" Garland and Tom Vilsack.

After his stint at DoT I will never vote for a ticket with him on it. It's not necessarily him being indistinguishable from a Republican on police issues or being a corporate shill, it's shirking his basic responsibilities.

I get Garland, I voted just for him, he’s been weak.

For Raimondo and Buttigieg, what is to criticize, based on their work performance in their current roles ? Being from RI, I hear what she’s doing more, and she’s active and seems centrist/center-left in initiatives. Buttigieg I haven’t heard much about his performance, just gay jokes and name jokes and sometimes outright homophobic attacks.

I guess I'll say Garland and Buttigieg. I don't necessarily believe Garland has done a bad job as AG, I just wish he was more aggressive against Trump. Pete on the other hand has been a pretty subpar Transportation Secretary.

Damn, when you look at it like that, it's so clear he kicked out Trump's swamp creatures and replaced them with his own swamp creatures. These are just terrible people.

Please cite with specific, detailed examples.

Note to Atlas: “Pete (insert dumb, vaguely homophobic name joke here) beat Bernie in Iowa Angry Angry Angry ” does not count as an example.

He is the transportation secretary and he has done nothing to eliminate car dependency. What more do you need to know?

What specific actions within the scope of his actual authority and powers as Transportation Secretary has he not taken in order to do so that you believe he should have taken?

Best case scenario, he could put forward federal requirements for cities to densify, eliminate parking and single-family zoning, institute mixed-use zoning policies, and expand operation of metro and bike infrastructure. States that fail to meet certain benchmarks could lose their federal highway funding. Long-term, he could focus on creating a nationwide bullet train system and nationalizing railway tracks.

At the bare minimum, he could talk about these things. Instead he is talking about the need for more “diversity in construction” while completely ignoring the Ohio train disaster. He is an unqualified idiot, and I thought we’d all decided not to take him seriously.

Buttigieg has easily done the worst job imo. The train derailment happening under his watch is bad enough, but his response to it, or lack thereof, borders on outright maliciousness.

Again, can you elaborate? I don’t really get all this anti-Pete sentiment

About the derailment wasn’t most of the changes from the trump admin?

The actual derailment really can't be blamed on him, but it took him almost two weeks to even address it. We have no idea the scope of how bad this is going to be for the people living there, Pete should have been on the scene asap and at least putting forward some idea on how to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. It was an incredibly bad response and just highlights how unqualified he is for the position he's in.

The Immediate response however is being done by the CDC, HHS, EPA, Pete can't really do anything about the immediate response. The oil, gas, and the harmful chemicals.

Should he visit ? Yes sure. Should he call for a tough response to the railroads ? Yes ! But this is a multifaceted event.
