Trump is a clown who should be in federal prison. Bush, however, is a malevolent and sadistic war criminal who should be tried before the Hague for crimes against humanity. Sorry, but I can't tell the people of Iraq that the horror they've lived through for the past 20 years somehow pales in comparison to mean tweets and reckless inarticulate bloviating.

It's foolish to think that Trump wouldn't have gone B to the W if 9/11 happened while he was in office - I'm sure he would have tried to literally go nuclear and it's only a question of who would be present to stop him.

Any comparison of the two that doesn't account for the fact that Bush was enabled by a once-in-a-century event that no other President in living memory has faced is going to be of limited use.

Well I think its why Dule said : Trump was the worse President but W had the worse Presidency.

If you transplant Trump to literally any other time in history, he would make things immeasurably worse. Again, he is a worse person and a worse president.

George W. Bush is the most catastrophic figure in American history. We will never recover from him.

For it to be Bush, you'd have to qualify it with something like "most damage to the country as a result of their policies while in office" or something like that. Otherwise, it's Trump.

Trump for the country, Bush for the world. Edge to Bush still.

Agree with the first sentence, but not with the second.

W was better in: Showing Leadership during Crises , Dealing With Congress and was way better as a person

LOL. I agree with the other ones you listed for Dubya, but "leadership during crises?" Seriously? He showed anything but leadership. He gave the reins of power to warmongers like Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and Donald Rumsfeld.

Ok let me rephrase this to "Uniting Our Nation during a time of crises"

Yeah, but any half-decent president (maybe not Trump, admittedly) could have done that after such a major national tragedy. And the Bush administration actually exploited the patriotic fervour and ‘rally around the flag’ effect to brand any legitimate questions or criticisms about their agenda unpatriotic, and to rush into unjustified, unnecessary, decades-long wars to ‘defend the nation’ (when the real purpose was not that at all).

Bush never pissed on the Constitution to satisfy his ego.

Bush never attempted a violent overthrow of the US government.

Anyone who says that Bush was worse is not seeing the bigger picture in the catastrophic and likely irreversible damage Trump did to the nation and to his party...or quite possibly the damage his actions will ultimately do to the world.

Trump. W Bush's presidency was horrible, but Trump is unmatched.

Since 1/6, I consider Mr. Trump the worst prez ever, even worse than Buchanan and Johnson. He's the only WH occupant who attempted a coup and overthrow democracy. No one else had so little regard / open disdain for the constitutional republic.

How would Bush have acted if he'd lost in 2004? Nothing remotely similar to Trump in 2020. He was an outrageously bad president, but not an existential threat like Trump was and still is.

Bush would've been more successful in stealing 2004 than Trump was in trying to stealing 2020.

Also Trump was never an existential threat to my life as a gay man, Bush was.

Bush was more dangerous in the sense; that he helped create the conditions for Trump, economically, socially, politically.

Bush saved more lives in Africa through his anti-AIDS work than he took elsewhere.

Trump is far worse because he's an essential threat to democracy and cozying up to the worst world leaders such as former KGB agent Putin. Not meaning to downplay Dubya's massive failures though.

I also don't think Dubya is a fundamentally bad person, especially aside his missguided policies. Donald Trump meanwhile is a total scumbag of person.

Worse things happened in Bush's presidency but those were external crises that he did not handle well. Trump's job performance was even worse, hate to think of what would have happened if he'd been president during 9/11.

Reagan is an underrated terrible President who did a lot to damage the country, and was also far more corrupt than his reputation presents him as. But he still isn't as bad as Trump.

Reagan didn't invade Iraq for what turned out to be no reason or preside over the worst recession since the Great Depression up to that point. He also didn't preside over a pandemic that killed over a million Americans, try to rig an election, or try to get foreign intelligence to spy on a political opponent and obstruct justice to cover it up. The 80's are over, time to move on from Reagan Derangement Syndrome.

Ronald Reagan was the best president of the modern era.
.ah no he wasn't he passed a 1=5T dollar tax cut for the richest Americans just like Bush W and Trump did why do you think Stars Wars missle shield wasn't built D's controlled the H and S TX Speaker Jim Wright said no in the face of budget deficits but Berlin Wall was destroyed And Lincoln was he got rid of Apartheid he was a Conservative but a Moderate Republican that Atlas users mix up all the time as R meaning Tory Booker T Washington voted for cc NY Teddy Roosevelt after Ford there was no Moderate R party anymore it was the Reagan Tory party, Nixon was a moderate he support like McCain and Norm Coleman EPA it doesn't means just pro choice it means pro Environment

DIXIECRAT not Tory means Apartheid, I called Bill Clinton a DIXIECRAT because I support Jerry Brown and we were in Minority in Congress for 12 yrs because of DIXIECRAT Bill Clinton  sex scandal if Jerry Brown was Prez we would not have been in Minoruty for 12 years

Thomas Jefferson owned 600 slaves he wasn't a secular he was RACIST, he would of been Secular in today's standardss because DLC took over the Clinton wing

He was an okay Prez he may be good zorez but not the best Prez Abe Lincoln'and Eisenhower whom ended Apartheid we're the best Prez, Eisenhower was flawed instead of picking Taft or Warren or Rockefeller as Veepnhe picked Nixon whom had Watergate

I think because D's had the H majority and helped def COMMUNISM as well alot of Conservatives give Reagan all the credit we  had Divided Govt Jim Wright was Speaker of the House too and he helped Defeat Communism and helped passed comprehensive immigration reform and helped increase the cap on SSA all initiatives Obama wanted to pass during his tenure as well as minimum wage Boehner stopped him

Jim Wright, Llyod Benson helped pass those initiatives and we're just as WC as LBJ also from TX if Teddy Kennedy won the nomination he would have selected Llyod Benson as Veep and Def Reagan by winning Call, Cali would of put HHH up on top over Nixon if Bobby Kennedy wouldn't have died he would have campaigned for HHH or became his Veep or at very least won Cali for HHH
