#GOPHandmaidsTale is preaching to the choir if I ever saw it.

That’s precisely the point. What’s even crazier is that the personhood laws being passed are no more popular than a ban on interracial marriage. Gallup has such a law at 3% and for this one, like six or 7%. At least according to the last BBC poll that had Biden at 39.

What specifically are the personhood laws being passed?  Where can I find these polls?

There aren’t gonna be checks by cops just cause someone is pregnant. Saying  so is absolutely ridiculous

They are already compiling medical records so that they will know who is pregnant. Maybe you right. Maybe it will be "just like weed" but these absolute zero tolerance laws are about as popular as laws making it to be interracially married or gay. That doesn't stop 20 states from having them.

"They are already compiling medical records"
Who is "They" ?
21 states will have a total ban on all abortions when Dobbs is published.
Missouri Department of Health and Planned Parenthood.
NBC. Gallup.

States having a ban on abortion does not mean cops will stop pregnant women at the state border.

Many states have bans on fireworks for unlicensed users. Do police routinely stop people at the state border to make sure people aren't going to next the state to buy them?

If they make a traffic stop based on a broken tail light and see any additional leading them to believe illegal fireworks are being transported, yes, absolutely. And indeed many of these stops are being manufactured on the basis of out-of-state license plates, staring straight ahead and avoiding glancing at the officers car when passing, locking up their arms rigidly on the steering wheel, etc etc etc.

If abortion is a crime, then yes, these criteria used in the drug war absolutely be used to determine whether an existence of a crime, like abortion may be happening. Traffic stops and arrests absolutely will occur.

The myopia of the anti-abortion activists on this thread wanting to effectively cover their ears and scream " la la la la la la la I can't hear you I can't hear you I can't hear you!" Regarding the harsh realities of what they have wrought is very telling indeed.

I think abortion is a little bit different from fireworks, don’t you think? Unless these people really don’t mind people getting abortions and that they just don’t want to live near an abortion clinic.

How about guns then instead of fireworks?

Is there any precedent at all here for this hypothetical enforcement, with any kind of law, for something that is legal in one state and not in another?

Drugs?

This. It will take you about 90 seconds doing an internet search to find many news stories of places like Nebraska which aggressively Patrol and seek to interdict people coming from Colorado with weed legally purchased there.

The left just doesn’t understand the right at all.

Do you deny that this sort of thing is going to happen in states that ban abortion?

Yes

Fool.

Any particular reason why, or is this just part of your general childlike myopia?

There aren’t gonna be checks by cops just cause someone is pregnant. Saying  so is absolutely ridiculous

Your bubbleworld sour e of knowledge is insufficient yet again. There may not be traffic stops based on someone believed to be pregnant, but if a traffic stop occurs because of a broken tail light we're traveling slightly over the speed limit the type of inquiry you hear based on "training and experience" leading to so-called Clues requiring further investigation resulting in exactly the type of scenario here I guarant ee you from over a quarter Century experience will absolutely exist. Hell, even with traffic stops cops use all kinds of BS such as an out-of-state license plate, individuals who very pointedly refuse to make eye contact with the officers they passed, locking up there arms on the steering wheel is if nervous, etc etc etc, to try justifying traffic stops and continued detention afterwards.

Little boy, I have read literally over a thousand police reports like this over nearly three decades, and just because Mommy and Daddy haven't told you about this reality doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It happens in drug crimes, and if you are truly such a naive little man child to convince yourself that this s*** will not go down literally within the first week of Roe v Wade being overturned because you don't like to face the reality of what you contribute to, that's on you.

You know, I really should stop being so hard on you. You're ignorance is your own worst punishment. Why on Earth should I exciorate you every time you display yourself to be a walking mantle of cluelessness. You're never going to change, and again that is your own worst punishment.

Comparing this to drug stops is absolutely ridiculous

Kindly explain why or admit you are talking out of your ass / mistaken.

This ad is poorly written in a way that makes pro-choice people look like fearmongering lunatics and insults the plight of the people suffering from the situation it clumsily portrays.

Are they interdicting people going from Nebraska to Colorado before they have purchased drugs based just on a determination of intent?  That would be the analogy with the video.

I have been stopped at a checkpoint on the highway somewhere near the border between California and Arizona, checking for illegal immigrants coming from the southern border.  I look white as hell but my wife (born and raised American) looks very Hispanic.  And happened to be taking a nap on the back seat, which did look a bit awkward especially to these officers who are primed to look for situations like that.

So don't tell me that the government isn't willing or capable of setting up intrusive 'just in case' checkpoints at state lines.  Especially as birth rates continue to naturally decline, who knows what kind of desperate measures future Republican governments may take.

The Republican playbook nowadays is "tell them it won't happen" and then say "it isn't a big deal" when it happpens. They'll DEFINITELY keep telling you it won't happen, right up until it happens.

Yep.

That's how the after Barrett was confirmed the Supreme Court got rid of Obamacare and helped Trump steal the election. And the internet doesn't work anymore because Net Neutrality is gone.

The GOP may have helped Trump steal the election if he was a reliable and trustworthy party man instead of a fascist idiot bully. The GOP has not had a trifecta since Barrett was nominated, and if they get one now, it isn't clear that abolishing Obamacare would be a priority over social issues. But if they think they can actually do it with a trifecta without destroying themselves politically, they very well may.

In 2014, I was pulled over for going 74 in a 65 on US-287 from Laramie, Wyoming to Fort Collins, Colorado. The patrolwoman seemed very disappointed when she only wrote me a ticket for speeding and that I wasn't doing anything "illegal".

We told you this would happen. The modern day Republican Party is predictably deplorable. You were just in denial. There's a chance you'll still be in denial after this too.
