What game will be the biggest blowout today?

In games between D1 teams, Iowa State-Jackson State looks like a pretty good bet.

If that’s the margin, I doubt it will be the biggest blowout in college basketball today.

Well, whatever the largest actual margin is, it probably won't be  that game. Smiley  Surprisingly, Iowa State only won by 10.

Frank Martin's doing an excellent job at South Carolina.

The Gamecocks just beat Florida State 66-65.

Isn’t the biggest D1 blowout today almost certainly going to be USC-Long Beach State?

Sure looks like the best best among the remaining games.

Will the USC-Long Beach State game be such a massive blowout that USC fourth string center Boubacar Coulibaly appears in the game late in the second half?

So, Dayton doesn't look like they've missed a step from the Obi Toppin days, as they defeated Virginia Tech 62-57 today.

Meanwhile, #2 Baylor is destroying #6 Villanova right now. It's currently 40-22 in favor of the Bears with about ten minutes to play.

#1 Purdue was in danger of losing its second straight game, but came back late to tie the game and then won going away in OT vs NC State.

Meanwhile, Baylor looks unstoppable against Villanova.  Maybe that will end up as the biggest blowout of the day. Smiley

Villanova had the #4 offense in D1 according to Kenpom, but Baylor just held them to 36 points, winning 57-36.  An incredible defensive performance.

Baylor only won by 21. USC-Long Beach State will be a bigger blowout.

Baylor might end up being the first team to win the Big Twelve in both Men's Basketball and Football in the same season.

Out in the bottom tiers of the ACC, Syracuse is of to a horrible start to the season, with losses to Colgate, VCU, Auburn, Villanova and Georgetown, and only the only half-decent wins being against Arizona State, Indiana and Florida State (the latter two would be good in other years, but not this year).

I have to question whether Jim Boeheim is going to pull a Roy Williams or Mike Kryzewski and announce his retirement soon. I mean, it's not like Syracuse is going to fire him, but they probably could use a new coach (and maybe a move back to the Big East in all sports other than football-maybe they work out a deal like Notre Dame's with the ACC for Football?)

What game will be the biggest blowout today?

Barring something wild happening in the few games still in progress, it looks like the answer (among games between D1 teams) was Fairfield's 70-47 win over William & Mary, which I'm sure everyone expected. Wink  Baylor's win over Villanova was a close second.

Pittsburgh, which looks pretty terrible this year, just lost at home to Monmouth.

They are probably the worst major conference team in America right now, although they only lost (and probably should have won) by 1 to Virginia last week.

Long Beach State is having an unusually good game.

Long Beach is deceptively decent. They got two guards, Murray and Slater, who combined for like 56 against UCLA. It was close at the half but UCLA's forced a few turnovers in the second half and put it away. The team is very small but if those guards get hot they can score on anyone.
