He's very light-skinned.......Hell, I'm probably darker than Harold Ford, Jr.

I am very close to switching my prediction on this race to a tossup Ford victory.  he is EASILY running a better campaign than Corker.

I could of told u that a week ago..... I keep telling people that this race has a better chance of flipping than Missouri.... If the blogosphere put half as much energy in raising money for Ford as they do for Tester or Webb than this race wouldn't be as close (though Jane Hampshier or whatever her name is can keep her mouth shut in concern to the race).... Harold Ford Jr. was Barack Obama before Barack Obama was Barack Obama... and by that I mean a young, good-looking, intelligent african american in the democratic party. Granted Ford is much more moderate/conservative. His ads are hard-hitting, genius, and genuine. More importantly, his church ad, while flamming the atheist groups, play so well and establish him as the "christian" candidate.

The Ford campaign are doing an amazing job; they've caught a sudden wind and are just running with it.  I am seriously beginning to think Ford might just win.  His ads are terrific.

Bob Casey's latest ads

Ed Rendell - Santorum's ad is Trash.

98%

I really like the first ad, but I hope the second (98%) ad wasnt the knock out punch they were looking for.  Its your standard attack ad.  Nothing special.

King is typically thought of as being a bit too conservative for the district, but previous showings may have been flukes.

In 2000 Gore won the district by over 13 points. however in 2004 Bush won it by almost 5.

Obviously 9/11 played a big role there, but dethroning King will be a lot tougher than previously thought. Hopefully some lobbyist group gives King a really good offer before 2008.

NY-25.  Walsh distances self from Bush...

I just watched one where Wlash says he stood up to Bush on Social Security, Veteran health Care funding, and other stuff, but can;t find a link.  In response to a barrage on ads linking him to Bush and calling him Bush's puppet.

Also, here's a PAC ad attacking Walsh that made news after being pulled by a Clearchannel owned station that is tied to Republicans.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfNJRVqKbkA

King is still the favorite, but Mejias does have a chance.  He is a nassau County legislator in the 14th district (my L.D) which covers portions of eastern & SE Nassau.  First elected official to take on King, and most well known challenger as well.  Some of the pundits have moved it into the somewhat competitive category.  Rothenberg has it as Republican favored, Cook as likley republican and Chuck todd has it listed as #45.  I am currently volunteering for the campaign.

King is likley to win, but the race is competitive, King isn't sfae and Mejias can win

Re districting did make the district a few points more GOP.  Added some GOP areas along the immediate south shore in Suffolk, and took out some heavily Democratic areas in east central Nassau (wealthy, large Jewish population).  However, no question Bush got a 9/11bump (Gore won by about 9 under the current lines) and the district is generally Democratic on the Pres level.  Clinton won in 92 by a small margin, double digits in 96.

Steele's puppy ad got a lot of praise and rightfully so.  But the DSCC responded perfectly imo.

Ive seen it at least 3 times on the morning and evening news.  Great counter ad.

Wow. This new Ford ad really kicks ass. I especially like the aside about Corker smearing his primary opponents- it could give him a boost with disaffected conservatives.

That was really, really good. The best one I've seen so far. (It must be the cultural difference, but most of these ads suck enormously.)

I find Kennedy, Steele and Ford's being the only decent ones.

Bush/Kean, Jr. ad by Menendez on Iraq. Just like any other NJ Dem ad, it makes Kean and Bush seem like the same person. I'm sure it will sway some people, too.

As someone else said, Santorum's new Rudy ad is pretty good.  Its a 60 second ad, though, Ive never actually seen one of these make it to the air.

What? Kennedy's got some of the lamest ads I've ever seen. Even the Freepers seem to agree based on what they've said, and that's one of the reasons for his double digit trailing.

Klobuchar's are nothing spetacular, but they are far better.

What did you think of the DSCC's counter to Steele's puppy ad?

I'll watch it later tonight when I'm on a school comp.

The anti-Steele ad is a great counter.
