What in the world? Does he think this is an R+20 state or something?

LOL holy sh**t

How to throw a fairly easy race 101. How did this guy get the unbeatable titan meme attached to him for so long?

I’m actually shocked tbh as a senator he ran as an inoffensive mainstream R who soft-opposed Trump on controversial stuff. Kind of wild that he’d take a hard right turn like this. Then again, Abbott was the same way / image prior to the Texas abortion and voting laws, so I guess some Rs have just decided not to bother with pretending to be moderate.

He never was a mainstream Republican after Trump got in. Both he and Cory Gardner acted like they were running in a Trump +20 state and consequently lost their races.

Yeah that’s an easy way to lose the primary. If I’m the NV GOP I pray he loses the primary. Wow what a dumbass

Dean Heller is actually making a very smart move here. Nevada swung .01% to Trump in 2020 and that makes the state a safe R pickup. Don't forget about the Hispanics!

Sisolak should just retire rather than be blanched.

Isn't Nevada a mostly pro-choice state? What impact might SCOTUS have on Nevada's governor?

Since Dodgeball was set in Nevada, I’m gonna quote “that’s a bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see how it plays out!”

Nominating Heller would allow us to blow a very winnable race. I hope it doesn't happen.

Wow really doubling down.  Abortion/SCOTUS probably played a huge hand in him losing his senate seat.  He must be one of the rare true believers among Republican politicians that actually thinks abortion is murder.

Her three main policy planks are: banning vaccine mandates, banning critical race theory and stopping voter fraud. What a sorry state of affairs.

This woman sounds like the average Republican nowadays
Heller has more support overall and name recognition than this random Trump lady, though both would lose to Sisolak.

I literally LOL'd when I saw the news about Fiore jumping in.  The woman is a hoot!  (To laugh at, not with, if that wasn’t clear.)

Here's the best part of her many contributions to the brief period of time when the GOP controlled the Nevada Assembly:

Heller has more support overall and name recognition than this random Trump lady, though both would lose to Sisolak.

You're correct about Heller, but Fiore isn’t some "random Trump lady". She’s been fairly well known in the state (for mostly the wrong reasons) for nearly a decade.

Fun fact: We had our engagement photos taken at that same dry lake.

Anyway, her claim that she was the first female Assembly majority leader is partly true.  Yes, the GOP caucus elected her as such, but the incoming Speaker removed her from the job before the legislative session even began.

That whole session was just non-stop dysfunction.  Nevada Republicans are a hot mess.
