I will say this as my rating of things don’t change: Lean R (unless Lara runs in which case it is safe R)

...Explain?
Lara would easily turn out the Trumpers, plus Donny would spend a lot helping her.

I mean, you aren't wrong in your reply, but Trump only won the state by a point. It's going to be a tossup regardless.

I do think the GOP is favored here, but I don't see the logic in why it's a safe bet just because a Trump is running. I actually think she'd lose in a matchup against Beasley.

And the Democrats, plus the amount of Resistance Lib money flowing into the race would be insane.

It is Lean R state Beasley is gonna turn out to be rated as a socialist by Pat McCrory, as so will Val Deming's, if she runs for FL Senate.

That's why Ryan is the only wave insurence candidate that can win other that than Sand, and Fetterman, because they have WC appeal. Nelson and Hassan will win

That's why OH was a Tossup in the last poll not NC.
Jackson would stand a much better chance and would be favored I. Winning NC over Tim Ryan, I pulled my donation from Jackson to Ryan and will donate to Sand if he ran

Pittsburgh has Stephanie Murphy as an endorsement, she stands no chance, Rubio is gonna win anyways

Surprised no one has suggested "money printer go burrr" as a thread title yet. It’s neither funny nor creative, but neither are most of our other suggestions. Tongue

Also, it seems like everyone and their mother is running for this seat.

New suggestions are always welcome. If you have one, I’ll change the thread.

Bishop endorses Budd, so we know he won't run.

So I guess Lara isn't running after all:

Well I was wrong thinking Lara would run, but that is probably it for McCrory, since the Trump Endorsement is OP, and McCrory isn't about to excite the base enough or have a strong enough brand to overcome a Trump endorsement. Interesting how Trump endorsed someone quickly in this race.

Ted Budd seems like one of the weaker candidates, so maybe Jeff Jackson actually has a shot at winning this race?

Interesting that Budd met his wife in Russia in the 90s. Always a pattern here, lol

McCrory is not taking the Budd endorsement well.

He's throwing a hissyfit on Twitter.

NC is Lean R, since Biden Approvals are the same as they were on Election night 51/49 and his Electablility was 51/46 percent, that's why it's a 303 map, that ls why Nelson of WI, Maggie Hassan, Kelly, CCM and WARNOCK can all win in a 303 map

Ryan, Beasley and Fink are DOA and Rubio is winning by 5/10 pts

I had this same argument with pbower2A

Sununu has lost before 2008, John Sununu lost to Shaheen when we get a Gubernatorial nominee it will give Hassan a boost

Sununus aren't unbeatable

If there's one thing I can thank Trump for, it's pissing off Pat McCrory.

Mark Walker won the straw poll.

This article mentions Trump's endorsement was after the straw poll was taken:

"In an orchestrated move, Trump also endorsed Rep. Ted Budd for the open U.S. Senate seat in North Carolina. And he did so after former Rep. Mark Walker won a straw poll by a substantial margin of the crowd in attendance for who they wanted to run in the race."

The Trump endorsement really boots Ted Budd’s chances.

I don't think Trump's endorsement makes a Budd victory certain, but it gives him a good chance. They ought to poll how many people are aware of the Trump endorsement.

Let’s be cautious until Dan Rodimer has announced one way or the other.

That was a Ted Budd internal too lol
McRory has too strong name recognition and the Charlotte metro contains too big a chunk of the state's primary voters. Budd still has time, but he may need Walker to drop out and endorse.
