I wonder how long they'll wait to call the Ossoff race. I could see them waiting forever in order to draw out their news coverage. They did something similar when Biden was ahead and growing his lead in Pennsylvania. AP should call it when and if Ossoff exceeds the recount margin.

Why does CNN constantly refer to Perdue as the „Incumbent“ ?

He isn’t.

His term ended 3 days ago and he’s no longer a Senator.

At this point, its just irresponsible on news media not to call races. That only adds fuel to "the DEMON-rats cheated" when people go to bed not knowing the winner

I mean he was when the election first happened. He's trying to keep his seat. I think it's a reasonable way to think about it even if not technically true since Sunday.

There seems to be around 20,000 Perdue-Warnock voters. I knew there would be some, but thats a lot more than I thought. Why is that? Just didn't like a women? Or are they Lincoln Republicans who can't stand Leoffler

yes

Sexism is a bigger problem then racism. A black male has less obstacles to winning then a white female.

Apparently, there was another runoff on the ballot, according to the SoS results page.

It was won by a woman called Lauren McDonald, a Republican, for an office I have never heard of.

She even got more votes than Warnock ...

Will the Republicans still cry fraud despite winning that one ?

Not a woman. Lauren used to be a male name.

https://ballotpedia.org/Bubba_McDonald

Also, he's an incumbent for a district in Northern Georgia

He would've won even if he was running against Jesus on a platform of torturing puppies and permanently cancelling Christmas and joy

PSC members are actually elected statewide, even though he only represents that district. I know, it's confusing.

Alongside MS, CO, and NH, these were the 2 of the few competative Senate races where Democrats did better than the Atlas consensus projected.

True or not it doesn't do any good pitting minority groups against each other to compete for America's Next Top Victim like this when we should be uniting to destroy video games forever #yesallgamers.

In a more practical application of this observation, we now know where there are so many lonely men.

So suffice to say, judging by black turnout, it appears that racist attacks on Warnock backfired bigly.

I think one big takeaway from this was not to go after Black people’s religious the way Loeffler did. She really pissed them off, it seems cause he’s killing her in rural black counties.

But is it even true with elections? We've only had four black male Governors(only two were actually elected) vs forty white female Governors, for example.

I think people believe that only because Obama beat Hillary.

Loeffler is one of the worst Republican candidates to have run in the past dozen years, in the same tier as such worthies as Mourdock, Akin, Moore, O'Donnell, Angle, Bachmann, McSally, and Palin, to throw out some names. I still have no idea what Brian Kemp was thinking when he appointed her. It could very well be said that Loeffler dragged Perdue down in defeat with her.

One thing that surprised me is that in the poll something like 75% of the voters said that there was excessive regulation on business. That sounds like a Romney oriented electorate or something, something both parties now disdain. What is up with that? I was also depressed even if not surprised that the electorate was so polarized by zip code. No wonder that connections and understanding of the other is so attenuated, and so easy to demonize.
