It looks like New Mexico is going to vote to the right of Colorado, maybe even by a significant margin (Biden +10 vs. Biden +15 right now). Also, Ben Ray Luján is winning by just 4 points.

Pretty likely, she’s winning by 15 points even as Biden leads by 5 points. Looks like her moderate bona fides still exist somehow.

One thing that has really caught my attention is how strongly Trump is performing in the popular vote. When the dust has settled, he’s likely to have received at least 10 million more votes than in 2016 and he is almost guaranteed to have increased his vote share, which runs contrary to the assumption that he was failing to expand his base.

Joe Biden has now broken the 69.5 million raw vote record set by Barack Obama in 2008, becoming the most voted presidential candidate in history. Trump is also on track to break it, presumably becoming the second most voted candidate in history.

More Americans have preferred the Democratic candidate for the fourth election in a row, the longest streak since the New Deal.

So far, in what states did Trump win by a bigger margin than he did in 2016 (Or lose by a smaller margin)? Is it just Florida?

So far he’s doing relatively well in Illinois, getting 42% of the vote there.

This election is getting on my nerves. I wish Biden could just clinch PA to get this nightmare over with.

Don't think Biden's getting PA

Don’t say. You’ll be eaten alive like I did.

I’m in the minority but if I were betting I’d say Trump is likely to win this thing.

Biden falls short in Georgia by a hair
Biden falls short decently in NC
Biden lead slips away in AZ
Biden might hold on in NV but it’s not a sure thing
Bidens outstanding vote in PA has been GREATLY exaggerated

Please stop the excessive doomerism. This is just ridiculous. Just enjoy the fact that doomers were right and Trump overperformed massively, you’re embarrassing yourself.

America is like a third world country in terms of counting ballots. In Spain we cast over 24 million ballots last time and 99% were counted within three hours of polls closing. Why does it take so long?

Any idea on where joes national popular vote margin will end up (in points)

Probably something like 52-47.

Yikes polling ....

Safe to say if it was +10 like polling showed he would’ve carried Texas, FLA & NC
Should have trusted RV numbers, they (and Ipsos) have Biden +5 or so.

The likely voter screens were helping Dems for the first time I can remember and didn’t know how to process that. Lesson relearned.

Likely voter screens probably benefited Dems because people who voted early (disproportionately Dems) were automatically put in them.

Do you promise to go back to Doomerville and stay there for a week if Biden wins Georgia?

My theory as to why socialism fear mongering worked for the GOP is that Joe Biden and the Democratic Party as a whole were seen as close to Bernie Sanders and the “democratic socialist” wing of the party (very stupid branding, btw) as opposed to 2016, when Hillary Clinton was seen as fierce opponent of Sanders and his politics due to the viciousness of the primary.

Trump also did his part by not tying Hillary to Bernie. In fact, he tried to appeal to Sanders primary voters by claiming the DNC had rigged the nomination process. Socialism played almost no role in his campaign and voters did not see any reason to relate it to Clinton.

In addition to the success of "Biden will turn America into Cuba" message, did you notice how immigration wasn't an issue at all in this  election? Did you notice how Trump never mentioned the wall, MS-13 or Mexican rapists in his speeches, after having made them the cornerstone of his first campaign?

Trump 2016 was  "Build that wall". Trump 2020 was "Stop socialism". There you have the reason why Latinos (and not only Cubans in Miami-Dade) swung so heavily towards him.

What do we make of the fact that Minnesota voted to the left of the nation?
