The Cook Political Report results table shows that CT is the 1st state that has already certified its results.

That is not true though:

Their table shows 1.059 million votes for Biden, but the state is still counting votes.

Biden already has 1.070 million votes according to the CT voting site:

While it couldn't hurt to backchannel to feelers to Collins just to see what happens, she would obviously see what was going on. Seems like it would be more likely (though still almost nil) to convince Murkowski to flip parties if we want to grab an extra Senate seat.

I'm praying for Trump. I realize that he lost the race and has to have the moral and mental strength to do what is right for our country. I want a fair and accurate count of the votes but once that is done I'd hope Trump accept what is right.

Burr is retiring in 2022, he may be willing to leave early for a Cabinet position (or Ambassador to Italy or whatever he fancies).

Aside from his being a walking-&-talking ethics controversy, Cooper would be forced to appoint a Republican, so that would pretty much render such a plan moot.
