If Georgia goes to Biden, then WI gets Biden to 272.

Exactly 270. Biden can win with most combinations of 2 of WI, GA, MI, NC, and PA.
This is assuming AZ goes Biden, right?

My assumption was NV. AZ was already called.

Are there much more votes still coming in? I think I noticed a difference in MI but not the other states.
There's at least 2 million left in Pennsylvania, I'm not sure about the other midwest states.

The only good thing is that at least so far nothing has happened that would keep Trump from being laughed out of court if he tries to contest the VBM votes. Still, it is closer than I'd have liked and it looks more likely than not right now that Mitch will still be Majority Leader in the Senate. Which means no stimulus no matter who wins the White House and tomorrow will be brutal on Wall Street.

Have to hold out hope that Ossoff keeps it under 50% then Georgia becomes the center of attention the first week of January.

What’s been so uniquely challenging about covering this election, though, is we knew going in that there was a really good chance that neither Biden nor Trump would reach 270 electoral votes on election night… and sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. Honestly, some of the media coverage hasn’t drilled that home enough — key swing states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan all have votes that won’t be counted until tomorrow at the earliest. And then, as we’ve talked about earlier in the evening, there are delays in Georgia, too.

There’s too much outstanding vote that hasn’t been counted yet to make any big conclusions at this point.

For now in the House the GOP picks up 5 seats and the Dems pick up 2 seats, so a net loss of 3...

I don't know why anybody in their mind would believe that Berine whould be doing better after seeing what just happed to Biden in FL. The Fact is Trump effectively convinced many Cuban and Venezuelan voters that Joe Biden of all people was a socialist

Trump attacks worked and that should scare the heck out of AOC or any Dems that supports Berinie. If anything the Berinie whould has lost Florida by even bigger numbers
I also think that  Trump would have also won AZ and been well on his way to winning all of the Midwest states.

Bernie would have gotten other votes than Biden couldn't get.  Bernie had been very good at attracting apolitical voters, unlike Biden and other centrists, because he brings up issues the likes of Biden ignore.  Like you said, Trump and Republicans call everyone a communist or whatever, so there was nothing to gain by nominating a centrist like Biden.
Also if you think Bernie would have lost Arizona, you know absolutely nothing about Arizona and why it is becoming a blue state.
Who exactly?

Is that a serious question?  Do you even follow politics?

Damn, this is just a defeat for democrats, even if Biden narrowly wins. Can’t really be happy either way.

If Trump wins, it’s pretty much a repeat of last four years. Which is bad. Like, world-changing bad.

If Biden wins he won’t be able to do anything with that senate. And this pathetic performance almost likely will give an open door for a Republican Trumpist president to come back in 2024.

Because let’s face it, even if Trump is defeated, it needed to be a clear victory to defeat Trumpism. These results validate his base of voters and I do not see them moving past him to support a neocon next election. That “movement” is here to stay.

It’s up to democrats if they’ll reinvent themselves or keep the same formula. If they insist on not changing, the realignment trend will likely increase and there is a serious risk of the Republican Party becoming the real party for the working class. Even if they don’t have the economic policy that benefits them, you cannot deny Trump somewhat shifted the Republican Party from its more neoconservative globalist leaning to something more isolationist and nationalist one. And that rhetoric speaks to regular people. Socially but also on an economic sense.

An effect of this would be democrats losing more non-white voters worried about economic issues who don’t feel represented by either party but likes Trump charisma and nationalism. Meanwhile, democrats gain more white economically moderate conservatives who don’t identify with Trump.

If that happens, notions like conservatism vs progressivism become less important and defining. What will differentiate them would be a Populist Republican Party for the masses vs an Anti-Populist Democratic Party for the elites.

OR, democrats could shift to adapt younger voices and bring a more economically populist message. Try to bring some FDR back, focus on an economic message and drop the empty corporatist identity stuff based on politically correct pre-ordered phrases that just aren’t how regular people talk. Fight cheap populism with more effective populist solutions, even if results aren’t guaranteed either because you don’t know which people would prefer, only that it would be a nice fight.

That will never happen though, current big faces wouldn’t go to poor places to hear the problems and talk with struggling people.

Absolutely. Answer the question and I’ll offer a rebuttal if I disagree. Isn’t that how a forum discussion works?

Exactly, Bernie would've won Arizona very handily. This is just mind-numbing right now.

What universe are you guys living in lol

the two dem that AZ just elected are Mark Kelly and Kristen Sinema
they are the furthest from Berinie as you possibly can get

Pretty much everything people have been warning would likely happen for months is happening: Red mirage gives Trump an illusory lead in the rust belt states that take too long to count mail-in vote on election night, so he tries to declare victory and says the count should be stopped.

Good news is based on recent rulings, I highly doubt SCOTUS allows that crap. What’s his case anyway? “All mail-in ballots are fraud and should be thrown out!” won’t hold up in court.

Yeah, Roberts and Gorsuch are going to need more than that to steal an election.

We messed up badly time after time again leading to this point. It's been a long journey on this road, but now we're facing the music. America chose to follow the path that lead us to this moment.
