Trump finally hits the number he used to need but actually needed more out of this drop and its basically the last of Pinal.

Yeah, Trump is winning Pinal 58-40, so he needed to run well above that in this batch.

Not only that, but this last batch essentially zeroed out Pinal. Looks like they counted less provisional/cured ballots than they were expecting.

Of course he did.

So our side was right when I said we couldn't just take him at his word without some hard evidence. Imagine that.

I worry about Mi,Wis and Pa. the dem strongholds of Detroit, Philly, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee are all declining in population. That may make victories harder there

All those people are going somewhere - and three of those places are Arizona, Texas, and Georgia.

Or simply moving to the suburbs of those cities. Which is good, b/c it makes democratic voters not quite so heavily concentrated in tiny areas. Gives them more power/less easily packable in congressional and state legislative districts.

GA update: Fulton County reported some additional provisionals and cured mailed-ins, bringing Biden's lead up to +14,148 votes.

Joe Biden
2,471,882
49.52%

Donald J. Trump *
2,457,734
49.24%

In other news, Loeffler and Perdue released a joint statement today asking for the GA SOS's resignation, alleging that he failed to conduct a free and fair election. Ironically, he is a R who received Trump's Twitter endorsement in his last election.

remember this?

I remember that article, and I now feel bad about low-key making fun of her on Atlas saying she should trust the pollsters and statisticians. I'm glad that she survived too, since she has been a good Representative for MI-08.

Dumb figure.  Tens of millions of Trump voters live in the Blue counties (and many of them higher-earning than their Democratic neighbors.)

Was waiting for this argument to happen and it's complete BS.  The Trump voters in those blue counties tend to be the same kinds of unproductive members of society as the ones in red counties.

No.  GDP is just a proxy for urbanity.  Trust me, the >1M GOP voters in Los Angeles and Cook County are much, much more productive members of society than the >1M Biden voters living in the Black Belt or on Native American reservations Cheesy

And nowadays isn't urbanity a proxy for Liberal democratic government? Exceptions to the rule, sure, but rare ones and growing rarer by the year.

No.  Of the twenty largest metro areas in the U.S., 8 of them are in states with Republican governors (7 with GOP trifectas).  That is not exceptional.

The rest of your post is drivel.

81% of the U.S. population is urban.  To think that Democrats win an overwhelmingly vast majority of these voters is wrong.  Trump will easily get more votes (in total) from urban areas than he will from rural areas, just as Biden will too.

Oh, so now you're trying to tie some incomplete half assed selection of GOVERNORS to wealth in Democratic run urban areas. Wow. that has droppd from silly to laughable!

He's retiring. He has the luxury to say this. Retirement for Republicans equals the point when all other humans first became vertebrates.

Can Pat Toomey be swayed to either switch parties (even though he is very conservative and has an atrocious voting record overall) or take a role in the Biden administration given that he is retiring?

Taking an cabinet post would allow Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolfe to appoint a Democrat to Pat Toomey’s Senate seat. I could live with him in a Biden cabinet if that could happen.

After all that debate and court cases, there were only 10k ballots in that late arriving narrow window in PA that the Supreme Court had separated but still counted for now. To me, it'd be outrageous if the tossed them since those people clearly made a good faith effort to vote, only to be screwed by a dysfunctional postal service. And I would say that if these were Trump votes.
