I agree with Trump's policies more than Biden's. That's why I support him. I align closest with him on issues like abortion, courts, trade, immigration, etc.

Could you imagine if it was reported that Biden said this?  Not a single person would believe it.  It's so far outside Biden's character to say anything remotely this reprehensible.

But when it's reported that Trump said something so depraved, so disgusting, so abhorrent, we all, red and blue alike, just go, "yeah that sounds like something he would say."


You may agree with your president's policies, and use that as your excuse to continue supporting him.  But even the most die-hard Republican can not, in their heart of hearts, deny that the president is an absolutely terrible person.

Successful soldiers: Basically the equivalent of action film stars who take out a hundred of the enemy with one shot.

Dead soldiers: Chumps who deserved it for being weak.

War, especially in the 20th century, was not designed to avoid casualties even in the best of scenarios. Soldiers getting killed, injured or captured was seen as part of the plan. The fault goes not to the individual soldiers who were caught up in this system, and ended up as casualties themselves-- and who were often drafted. Military action was not, and still is not, an individual exercise where a soldier can just run around willy nilly and go where he wants. He has to obey orders to ensure that the entire group utilizes the advantages of acting as one. And really, becoming a casualty is often random chance, not meritocracy.

The fault rather goes to the politicians who started wars and the Generals who carried out military strategy.
