Grinnell College National Poll, March 27-30

Is this a source of COVID-19 information you completely trust, mostly trust, mostly distrust or completely distrust?

Donald Trump

Completely trust: 16%
Mostly trust: 30%
Mostly distrust: 18%
Completely distrust: 32%

More people distrust the president than trust him in a time of crisis.

https://www.grinnell.edu/news/americans-showing-resolve-through-covid-19-crisis

Trust isn't deserved, it's earned.

And nothing about Trump's leadership makes me think he's a good man to spearhead this effort, from his fraught relationship with the truth, to his failure to show even simple empathy to those who disagree with him.

There's only one man to blame for those awful poll results, and he's currently sitting in the White House, screaming at executives, journalists, and Gov. Whitmer.

A majority of American People (per the same poll) approve of the job Donald Trump is doing "with handling the COVID-19 coronavirus situation"

Approve 50 %
Disapprove 43%
Not Sure 7%

Re: Florida accelerating

Naaah.

A lot of States are doing significantly worse. I have no idea why you would single out Florida, have I?  Unamused

Chest is sore this morning.  Starting to feel some pain during inspiration.

Still not worried, but things are admittedly progressing faster than I expected.

Donald Trump is a mass murder, and the Republican Party are his accomplices.

At this point it feels like those numbers don't even matter anymore

yesterday Trump himself told the American people that 100,000 to 240,000 people will die by the end of this and A massive recession will come right after it

As bad things are right now the reality is that this is only the calm before the storm  and trump Future in now going to depend upon how the american people react to the horrific and painful weeks ahead

Mr. Trump has made the situation worse through his missmanagement and delay, but I wouldn't go as far as calling him that. I really despise the dude for reasons, but I doubt he actually wants Americans to die. That's a bit too harsh.

Trump may not want Americans to die, but it's clear he cares about some American deaths more than others. His actions have clearly shown he had no sympathy for anyone living in a state with a governor who is challenging him, and yeah, I do think he expects people to die as a sort-of punishment for "allowing" those people to be their governor.

Without knowing other background on your condition -- when do you think you consider getting screened/treatment?

I already tested positive.  As for when I'd seek treatment, I haven't decided yet.

Sad news. Andrew Jack, the actor in Star Wars (The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) has died due to COVID-19.

Amen to this:

US data is a steaming pile of cow dung. For that, we have muh Federalism to thank. Destroy federalism, kill it dead. Note that this is not a problem just for this health data, but also for all sorts of other data as well.

No, we don't need every local county clerk having their own different unique method of recording data.

My post was deleted, for a personal attack, but I just want to reiterate this post is totally wrong. Germany, as anyone can easily verify, is a Federal republic and your own link says it is an example of a country that is producing good data. The federal or unitary structure of a given government has no bearing on whether the authorities are allowed to collect data at the national level.

The reason this post was... *irritating* to say the least, was because literally just yesterday the leader of Hungary used the corona crisis as a cover to *literally seize absolute power*. So the idea of the Federal government taking absolute unitary control of the country, on similar premises, is *pretty ing reprehensible* especially when your justification doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

I apologize if my original post went against the rules here. I’ll attack the post and not the poster from now on.
