I'm not thrilled about Bernie winning

But Pete...my god he is smarmy.

All efforts must be put in to defeat No Policy Pete and Xerox Mike.
Biden is compared to those two an angel. But right now i don't like any of the candidates in the race now, aside of Bernie himself. My preferred VP pick from all the ones that have ran is Andrew Yang. Young, inspiring, enterprising, Asian-American, has good progressive proposals and might even convince some CEO's to jump on the Bernie train. It will be record turn out from Hispanics and young voters if we have Yang on the ticket.

Biden is in my view leagues above both of them and I would happily support him over either NDA Mike or Smarmy Pete.

As for Bernard's Veep, I expect and desire a pivot to the center with Klobuchar.

Maybe even Steyer...
Agreed. I disliked Biden a lot, but he has grown back onto me as all cats with 9 lives do, and i would happily support Biden over Trump. I refuse to support Bloomberg over Trump though, and I have a huge issue with Pete right now, but would still back him over Trump.

And i don't think he will choose Klobuchar. I think he will choose someone loyal as VP. Although of the moderate candidates, Amy is by far the best one.

Yeah that's my problem.

"Loyal" sounds like a Trump thing and I bleeegghhh to that
Maybe not loyal, but someone who's a fellow progressive to energize progressives even more. That's what i meant. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but it's what I believe he will do.

I highly doubt progressives will need to be more energized

He needs a broad coalition too

Why did CNN and Co. project a winner already, if only 4% of the votes are counted ?
Math, I guess. They have Yang on their election night roundtable, which my mind is having a difficult time adjusting to.

I think that for consistency and trust, Barbara Lee would be a better VP choice.

Personally I'd love Duckworth or Baldwin. Both would be symbolic of a desire for Bernie to appeal to the Midwest and moderates/party insiders (and symbolic of a pivot following the primaries). One would be the first LGBT VP, while the other would be the first disabled war veteran VP. Of course, either would be the first female VP. Tongue

I would be pleased with both

Although I couldn't stomach a pick like Nina Turner or Tulsi Gabbard. One of whom is grossly unqualified and the other is awful.

In that case I guess as a New Yorker I'd vote for Bernie, but I wouldn't rule out a Phil Scott write in.
Well let's hope he chooses Baldwin and she agrees.

A right-wing populist nationalist called the Trump of Belgium endorsed Gabbard and since i've read that i don't like her anymore. She's a fake progressive.

Seems Bernie is having a night of legitimately unbiased good press.

Might be seeing the beginning of the party lining up behind him.

Yep, the party is starting to unite behind the nominee. The tone of the coverage on MSNBC is even starting to shift a bit now towards GE mode.

Bernie is just as much a narcissistic cult leader as Trump is and he's going to win the nomination the sane way Trump did: a militant base and a fractured field of opponents.

I guarantee, as we speak, those self-hating Hispanic voters in Nevada are planning how to dox the 60% of caucusgoers who didn't support him as we speak Roll Eyes

Hmm.

What is this mess ?

NYT says just 4% reported, yet Pete’s website says with 26% in, he gets 2nd place with 21% of the delegates ...

I never realized the Republicans had proportional representation. Only 4 candidates of the 8 (max) in the race right now have paths after Super Tuesday that result in them getting more than 5% of the vote. 4 candidates locks out anyone from getting close to 50%, unless something changes.

FTR, I don't like any of the present candidates. My preferred candidates dropped out last year.

One of those 4 to drop out is Warren. She's probably getting the talk right now, or giving it to her campaign team, since she's behind schedule.

Why did CNN and Co. project a winner already, if only 4% of the votes are counted ?

11%. 11%. How many times do people have to say this. CNN has the most up-to-date count.

Also, probably something to do with the votes showing what the exit polls did: Sanders winning by 20-25 points in the final round.

Serious question:

When is the other 90% released ?

We are talking about 150.000 or so votes ...
