Please let's get this over with. I'm so tired of waiting for results from Iowa of all places.

the fact that it looks like Bernie won the PV and is (likely) not going to be 1st in Delegates is quite infuriating. Another point in the "caucuses are undemocratic" column.

Too bad the Sanders campaign wanted to keep caucuses.

Well too be fair didn't the IDP also want to keep caucuses?    Wink

Nothing has changed on the NYT results page.

10 PM CST is the key. Within an hour hopefully

While i'm waiting for these results to be released, i'm going to sit down, crack open a can of cream soda, and play Simcity 4. Brings me back to better times.

Nice plan.

Honestly the way this all played out has me pretty deflated. It should be exciting to get the last 38% of the votes in but now I just want to get it over with so we can officially move on, and all the candidates can all say they won in some fashion or another or whatever before focusing on NH.

I made the mistake of getting some alcohol into my system (not that much, but apparently enough) and now I'm kinda tipsy, so I'm down for the urban riots if y'all are.

People out here aren't hip enough for riots. Too many old folks and insurance industry workers. The most boisterous event you might stumble across on the streets is an impromptu mass conga line.

Political nerds of America will be out in full force. Let's smash all the windows in the 538 headquarters and spray-paint the first round results by county everywhere so people know who really won.

Lots of outstanding voters still in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids & Sioux City (25% of all remaining precincts - likely much more in PV).

Precinct map on NYT is now working:

Thanks President Griffin for this....

Trying to peer through the NYT maps on my small laptop does make it appear that there are a significant votes remaining within Polk County, out of City of Des Moines, surrounding precincts where Bernie & Warren dominated compared to Pete.

The rurals and suburban precincts to the North of the City appear (Where Pete and Amy did quite well) appear to be mostly tapped out....

On the Westside of Polk County, there are some votes out around West Des Moines, but most of the inner precincts there Bernie looks competitive, although there are some in further West Des Moines that look more like Pete Country....

In Dallas County (Western Suburb) where Pete did well, there look like a chunk of votes around Waukee & Urbandale.

It took them a few minutes at 4:00 PM to provide an update. Also, who knows. These were just rumblings from two reporters heard. Could be nothing.
