BE is also announcing, as I write, their vote in the 2021 budget.

Like the media was reporting yesterday, BE will vote agaisnt the 2021 budget. BE leader, Catarina Martins, just announced in a live statement.

So in the end the budget is going to pass but with the smallest margin possible?

It looks like it. A 108 to 105 vote in favour. PEV, PCP satelite party, will also announce their vote I believe Tuesday, but it's likely they will follow the PCP abstention.

Totally.

Also, the vote returns, so far, from the Azores seems to be more PS friendly than the RTP projection. We'll see.

PPM doing shockingly well outside Corvo! Seems the exit poll was wrong about PAN winning a seat.

Indeed. In Santa Maria, they got 12%. I thought PAN would get a seat in the compensation district.

Also, IL has surpassed CDU. PSD doing very well in Ponta Delgada, the "mayor factor" of course.

CHEGA has elected an MP. CDU will probably be out of the regional parliament.

Do you think PAN and CDU will get a seat in the compensation district? It seems unlikely, right?

I agree, especially CDU is toast. They went from winning in Flores to getting 3% there, lol

Their popular incumbent MP didn't run, instead his sister was the lead candidate.

Very interesting (and messy) result. The obvious PS+CDS majority isn't there either. Surprised both PAN and IL managed to get a seat.

Maybe PPM can support the PS+CDS coalition, I don't know. But, yep, it's a very messy result and every options are on the table, even a PSD led government.

On the positive note, finally the Azores is more interesting than Madeira, politically at least. Cheesy Wink

RTP pundits say the election results are an "earthquake".

Also, Rui Rio is speaking. Let's see what he says.

Also, Rui Rio is speaking. Let's see what he says.

Rio is being very, very vague on a possible "rightwing" agreement. He said the left doesn't have a majority and the right yes, however the differences between the right parties are considerable and it's "complicated" and added that the decision is up to the PSD-Azores, even pressured by reporters to give a clear answer.
