Labour got 209 in 1983 for comparison's sake.

Given the results so far, I wouldn’t be shocked if the DUP loses South Antrim to the Alliance, too. That Alliance result in Strangford is something...
DUP barely holds Belfast East 20,874 v. 19,055 for the Alliance.

So the APNI gains their reach seat, but misses their normal target.

Tories gain North Norfolk from the Liberal Democrats - making it the second CON gain from LIB.

Disappointing.

Douglas Ross barely holds on in Moray, finishing only about 500 votes ahead of the SNP. So far he is the only Conservative MP in Scotland.

That's a shock, exit poll gave 99% of SNP gain.

BBC readjusted their projection, looks like they've revised Labour up a bit to 201 seats.

Who cares?

You 3 hours ago?

To be honest, looking at the results so far

The exit poll is off on 368

Tories likely have 355 or so

Tories gain Barrow & Furness on a swing of 6.8% - this means Labour is shut out of Cumbria for the first time since 1900.

Corbyn has said he won't lead the party in a future general election campaign, but will continue to lead the party during a "period of reflection". PMQs on Wednesday will be hilarious then.

Yeah same strategy with Hillary in the states.

I don't want to relearn UK politics, but how big of victory is this for the Conservatives?  Is it like a Reaganesque victory?

Bob Blackman beats the London remain Trend and holds Harrow East comfortably with big positive Swing - The Indian Vote swinging against Labour at its most obvious. But same in Leicester and other places.

Tories lose Stirling on a 9% swing - anti-Conservative tactical voting seems to be succeeding very well in Scotland.

Jeremy Corbyn has held his seat, with the Liberals jumping into second place and achieving a 7.6% swing against him.

Dominic Raab has held on, with the Liberals doing very well indeed, gaining 28% and achieving an 18.5% swing; this has to be one of the biggest swings in recent times not to result in a seat changing hands.

The big news of the moment, though, is the fall of Sedgefield to the Tories on a 12.8% swing - first time since 1931 that they've won this (though you can say the same for quite a few seats tonight!).

More Bush 1988, I'd say.
