"Better" on health care is all up to personal preference.  There's not some sliding scale where the left-most solution is the best.

For me, personally, something that keeps choice in the market is "better" than something that puts the legislative branch completely in control of deciding what gets covered and what doesn't.  But I'm sure plenty of Atlasians would beg to differ.

Also lol at all the people acting mock-outraged that Biden said "some Republicans are ok" when just two months ago y'all were celebrating that great moral titan, Justin Amash, and before that Lisa Murkowski, Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, Evan McMullin, etc.

I wish we could have an honest discussion of Biden in this thread without it being drowned in concern-trolling from people who already know they're going to vote for Sanders/Trump.

Absolutely embarrassing. How does anyone hear that and go "wow, that's a solid point!"?

I didn't ask about his energy, I ask if you ever noticed how many gaffes and whoppers he says.
He doesn't mix up cities and stuff like Biden does. Haven't heard him do that.

1. Yes he has.

2. His gaffes are even more bizarre, like when he talked about American Revolutionaries taking over airports during his 4th of July speech. Trump has said way, way, way more crazy, senile, nonsensical things than Biden, but you either don’t pay attention or don’t care.

It’s hilarious that you think something inconsequential like this is somehow indicative of being unfit for office, especially considering your unwavering support in somebody who is far more unfit according to this criteria.

I can absolutely assure you that almost no one on this forum was celebrating Flake, lol.

Not during the Kavanaugh hearings, but earlier around the time his book came out, he was well-liked.

Biden is mimicking Trump's dementia strategy which helped him carry the rust belt in 2016 as many WWC voter relate to a regular guy who cant remember anything. A brilliant move by the political chess master Biden who secured no GOP votes for Obamacare

"There are good Republicans" is about that close to being the last straw.

That's not a radical statement. Should he say instead "Republicans are subhumans who do not deserve life or liberty"? Would that more suit you?

Socialists are such vicious little creatures, attacking Biden because he's an old white man. That's the core of the matter.

Was Obama senile because he said "all 57 states"?

It's just a slip, combined with the known fact Biden frequently talks before he thinks, and had been the same way when he was younger.

Although this quote is often used by the right to say Obama was dumb, it is out of context and not really a slip. There are 57 voting units in the primaries since DC, territories, etc count. There just isnt a good-sounding word to use.

You could just say "Republicans oppose everything useful while making sure the wealthy get everything they want."

Not that far from the truth.

My god some of you are so blinded by your support of another candidate/Biden hate that you try to blow every tiny thing into a major scandal. The fact is nobody but hardcore fanatics of another candidate looking for straws to grasp give a crap about stuff like this.

The Biden campaign sucks, you can't get people to pity vote or safety vote for you. Democrats aren't going to win without energizing the base and infrequent voters and I see no signs of energy with the awful campaign Biden has run so far.

Obama can not carry him across the finish line, just like he didn't carry HRC over. And much of the Democratic party wants more progressive and less compromising policy goals than what Obama achieved and what Biden will pursue.

“Electability” is such a problematic form of reasoning, and you can point to many elections where Democrats believed that they were picking the most “electable” candidate, only for said candidate to lose. Being more “moderate” doesn’t make a candidate more electable, nor does higher initial name recognition help that much in the long run, and early polling can change very easily and very quickly. Democrats are going to beat Trump with higher turnout and enthusiasm, not “well, I like someone else better, but I guess Biden will do.”

His “electability” is not a fact either. It’s dumb ass argument.

Dems are fightin' amongst themselves, Biden or Warren both said they are willing to amend the number of judges on SCOTUS to 11; as a result, assault weapons ban, overturn of Citizens United & DC statehood would be accomplished. The only candidate pledged not to amend SCOTUS is Bernie .

Both Warren and Biden said they will give targeted tax cuts to middle class

I don't believe any of this happened, but they can promise anything knowing they don't have the Senate.

Very difficult to imagine how to cut middle class taxes anymore unless we re-institute the upper middle class blue state give away of SALT deductions.

The Biden campaign today has released a new video. I find it pretty strong, though I may be biased.

It’s mid September and Biden slips up while campaigning and refers to Obama his friend as his “n word” in playful jest. Does that blunder tank his chances even if it was in jest? How does Trump respond?

September 2019 or 2020? If it's 2020 the Dems are f'ed, if its 2019 he'll probably be forced to drop out.
