Started a CK2 game as Vlademar II in 1212, Pope calls a crusade for Egypt I join and March my 8k from Denmark to Egypt. I battle some Muslim forces siege down a few provinces, to avoid death I sacrifce one of my Mayor's I am now known a Vlademar the Traitor, next battle I run into Sultan Mohammed II of the Khawarezid (the nation Sjoyce is playing in Dance of Death) I killed  Mohammed with my axe. I ended up sieging down Jerusalem and all of Sinai, following this ragtag band of men I have met with 15k Muslim troops in El Arish and I picked up a mistress while campaigning, until I was killed in the aftermentioned battle of El Arish on March 11, 1216.

Update: about 5 minutes later his heir Knud VII was killed in battle  in July 1216

Mid-turn update posted!

It took a while because I wasn't actually sure what to include. There is A LOT of stuff going on, but many possible events would either be incomplete because one or two players not having taken action yet or because of stuff behind the scenes. There was also the danger of spoiling a few things, so in the end the update - which is Europe-centric, though rest assured important things are happening in Asia - is confined to some key events. Others are happening at the same time as well, but we'll visit those in the end of turn update.

At this point the current deadline for the turn is Tuesday night, in three days.

The orders and activity is there to carry Otto through the end of the turn, but we will definetly have to find a new player for turn 2 (I'll allow people to shift from a smaller nation if they do desire after the turn is over).
