Seems a bit dumb of Gallego not to wait and see how Harris does in the debate tonight first

Might Gallego be a kiss of death? First there was his potential Senate run, then he endorsed Swalwell, now he endorses Harris. I guess we'll see.

Huh? Swalwell couldn’t even crack 1%. What are you going on about?

It's just a weird correlation I observed.

One person, who never had a chance in the first place, happened to be endorsed by Swalwell and fail. He's endorsed another person, whose performance is TBD. That is literally the furthest thing from a correlation.

Perhaps correlation is the wrong word. Let me not beat around the bush any longer-Gallego is consistently setting himself up for disappointment. That's what I'm noticing here.

Joe Biden received endorsements from 10 African-American Mississippi legislators, including the Black Caucus chair: https://mississippitoday.org/2019/09/12/joe-biden-receives-2020-endorsement-from-eight-african-american-mississippi-lawmakers/

Except that Harris is still very much a viable contender in this race

A full list of Warren's major New York endorsements. Lander and Stringer should be noted as old news, but I believe the rest are new.

Many mayors who want to become president one day. Interesting that it wasn't signed by the one who wrote the Damn Bill, de Blasio.

How many people besides Crist have lost a statewide race as a Democrat, a Republican, and an independent?

A swathe of congressional and gubernatorial endorsements remain open in the first four states, including 1 governor, 4 senators, and 9 reps. Do you think many of these individuals will endorse prior to the first four states, and do any of them have the potential to shake up the local primary?

IA:
- Rep. Abby Finkenauer
- Rep. Dave Loebsack
- Rep. Cindy Axne

NH:
- Sen. Jeanne Shaheen
- Sen. Maggie Hassan
- Rep. Chris Pappas
- Rep. Ann McLane Kuster

SC:
- Rep.Joe Cunningham
- Rep. Jim Clyburn

NV:
- Gov. Steve Sisolak
- Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto
- Sen. Jacky Rosen
- Rep. Dina Titus
- Rep. Susie Lee
- Rep. Steven Horsford

EDIT: Of course Reid is vital, but he's declining to publicly endorse, and seems to be quietly pulling for Warren

You are missing the biggest potential endorsement for Nevada.

I think that it depends on how aggressively any of these people campaign for the candidate they endorse. If they endorse in a statement or single rally with the candidate, I doubt it will have much of an impact on the three major candidates.

If for some strange reason they endorsed a much less popular candidate, it could potentially help them, but I doubt Finkenauer is going to be the reason Biden/Warren/Sanders wins Iowa.

I have a feeling some number of representatives might hold off on endorsements until impeachment things are a little further along at least so that they know fully well how they plan to vote on such things and that they are in sync with their candidate of choice as it will be the big news item for a while. And having divergences between a rep and their endorsed candidate could make it awkward.

What more, in Nevada for example, there might be hesitation to swing towards someone who is not favored by Harry Reid. The power brokers in other states need not be so obvious, but there may be some considerations on how to not piss off someone you need to get reelected.

Harry Reid will be the only one that matters. Not his endorsement per se, but his ability to use his Nevada political machine resources to turn things around for his preferred candidate in the state, which from all the things I've seen seems to be Warren.
