Democratic Socalists Of Amercia presidential endorsement announcement

The DSA is proud to endorse Derek Jeter for the Democratic presidential nominee.   Out of the all of choices in the race Jeter is the one that seems to care most for progressive values, for union rights, A equality income, Medicare and healthcare for all,  A 15$ minimum wage, Making sure that everyone has a decent education and stopping the Neoliberal/Neconsertaive war machine and of course fight for the new decade

We admire Jeter for despite being worth a lot of money he still wants to fight the working and common man and for a better Amercia and not sellout and PACs and special interest groups unlike most of the candidates in this race.

And we hope Iowa makes the right choice in the upcoming weeks to trust him and pick him to be President Trump’s agenda and to bring a vision for a New Democratic Party.

Obama campaign Schedule- Part One

January 1

New Year's Day Brunch Fundraiser, Manhattan, New York

January 2-5

Campaign in and around Muscatine, Iowa (With Tom Harkin and Barack Obama)

Joe Biden, for a supposed foreign policy expert has been on the wrong side of history just a few too many times for my taste. When George W. Bush decided he wanted to depose Saddam Hussein, Biden voted for the authorization to go to war. And then, when my husband learned that Osama Bin Laden was hiding in Abbotbad, Pakistan and made up his mind to bring justice to him once and for all, Biden said that we "didn't have enough information to do it". Well, a good President has to be willing to take risks, and be willing to pay the price if the chance we took backfired. We were willing to pay the price if Bin Laden got away again, or if Pakistan decided to go to war with us over the operation, because the chance of bringing the world's most wanted terrorist to justice was so much greater than whatever price we could pay in our eyes, and because we were so confident we would succeed...and we did. You were wrong, twice. Iraq is still a mess, and the resolution to go to war and subsequent invasion led to rise of ISIL, a terrorist group that has cost hundreds if not thousands of lives to this point.

December 6-9

Campaign in and around Burlington, Iowa (With Barack Obama)

Betsy DeVos just doesn't get our educational system. Yes, the idea of charter schools and private schools sounds wonderful in theory...but when you consider that her party's is that all charter schools must be only religious schools, or teach evangelical Christianity a majority of the time, it just falls flat. Remember, Jerry Fallwell Jr. was President Trump's first choice.

What Jeter did

Jeter campaigned to start out the new decade and year with Congresswoman Cortez in New York on being his country a 15$ dollar minimum wage and also on the abolishment of ICE in which he said he would use that money to help fix infrastructure and our healthcare.

Jeter then went back to Iowa and campaigned on his progressive values with progressive activists and politicians all across Iowa and attacked the Democratic front runners for their ties with donors and the establishment.

Jeter to work of the working class proposed a idea for his big tax cut for the middle and working class and small businesses.

Jeter then got the call of his life on January 20th when he was elected to the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown New York on his first ballot almost tying Ken Griffey Jr’s total at 99.2

Jeter then flew back to New York to do a press conference there and campaign a bit more in New York.

Obama Campaign Schedule-Part Two

January 7

Campaign in and around Bettendorf, Iowa
[imghttp://theawesomedaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/michelle-obama-speech-feat-1.jpg]http://[/img]
Senator Gillibrand claimed in her new ad that she "unbought and unbossed by anyone". Well, Senator, how about all the time you spent serving as a lawyer defending Phillip Morris.. roughly fourteen years by my count, give or take a year. How is that not being bought and paid for by Big Tobacco?

January 8

Speech in and Around Davenport, Iowa (With Tom Harkin)

So, the Democratic Socialists decided to endorse a candidate worth hundreds of millions dollars in Derek Jeter. Isn't that the opposite of what they believe in? Wouldn't their efforts have been better spent getting Bernie Sanders to run again?

January 9-15

Barnstorm  in rural South Carolina (With Jim Clyburn)

January 16-19

January 20
Private Ceremony to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Atlanta, Georgia

January 21-26
Barnstorm in Rural Nevada

January 27-30
Barnstorm in New Hampshire

January 31

GOTV/Phone Call in Iowa

Election night party/rally in Des Moines (With Tom Harkin, Barack, Sasha and Malia Obama)

Turn 3 Ad 1 - "tax cuts"
Aired in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania

Narrator - Under the presidency of Donald Trump, the tax burden on Americans was relieved. Tax cuts on individuals meant you could keep more money in your pocket, while business tax cuts increased salaries and bonuses. Unfortunately, some people think this is a bad thing. Obstructionist Democrats like Chelsea Clinton and Kristen Gillibrand are suing to block these tax cuts. Many Democrats and some RINOs, such as John Kasich, raise taxes on their constituents. Donald Trump is the only candidate in this election who won't raise taxes. A vote for Trump is a vote for low taxes.

I'm President Donald Trump and I approve this message.

DSA Of Amercia responds to First Lady Obama

We have endorsed Jeter because unlike the millionaires that usually are in Politics Jeter is fighting for all people and not for the donors and the corporations.

Truth be told there are millionaires out there that want to have their tax dollars go to something reasonable and efficient like better infrastructure and universal healthcare and not have their’s cut just so that the war machine gets a new engine. And don’t want to get their money into politics and donor groups

On the other hand Michelle Obama’s campaign is heavily bought and sold for by Wall Street,Big Pharma and Big Oil and manny other special interest groups.

Case in point is Jeter is fighting for the people and while you are not.

America's Choice 2020: Iowa Caucus

Wolf Blitzer: The first caucus results are coming in now but first, let's talk about the last month of the campaign. First the Republicans, Kasich has definitely improved since Kim Reynolds endorsed him especially with women voters but with Trump talking about his successful tax cuts it still looks as if Iowa will be solid Trump. On the Democrat side, the race has gotten much closer between the top four candidates, Brown, Delaney, Obama and Biden. Biden made gains with white collar voters since Brown was moving farther to the populist left and lost those votes. Brown did make gains with the progressive and blue-collar voters after the Sanders endorsement. There is a rivalry brewing between the three progressive candidates Brown, Jeter, and Gillibrand who had large endorsements from progressives. Now lets look at the first results:

Republican Iowa Results (3.7%)
Donald Trump: 52.3%
John Kasich: 47.7%

Democrat Iowa Results (0.2%)
Sherrod Brown: 22.6%
Michelle Obama: 21.1%
Joe Biden: 20.9%
John Delaney: 15.3%
Kristen Gillibrand: 10.2%
Chealse Clinton: 4.7%
Derek Jeter: 4.1%
Juaquin Castro: 1.3%

America's Choice 2020: Iowa Caucus

Wolf Blitzer: The Republican race is started to become less close, Trump has started to pull away from Kasich as more conservative counties are coming in. The Democratic race is now within one percent and the former leader, Brown has drifted to third as more of the sub. of Des Moines are coming in

Republican Iowa Results (6.1%)
Donald Trump: 56.4%
John Kasich: 43.6%

Democrat Iowa Results (4.6%)
Michelle Obama: 21.2%
Joe Biden: 21.1%
Sherrod Brown: 20.7%
John Delaney: 18.6%
Kristen Gillibrand: 9.3%

America's Choice 2020: Iowa Caucus

Wolf Blitzer: This race is just getting more and more interesting as more results are coming. In the Republican race, it has become much closer as the college town is coming in but Trump is still having a healthy margin. On the Democratic side, Sherrod Brown has regained ground after more college towns are coming in but he is still behind Michelle Obama who is still leading the pack.

Republican Iowa Results (27.6%)
Donald Trump: 51.3%
John Kasich: 48.3%

Democrat Iowa Results (24.3%)
Michelle Obama: 22.9%
Sherrod Brown: 20.8%
John Delaney: 19.3%
Joe Biden: 19.1%
Kristen Gillibrand: 10.1%
Derek Jeter: 3.6%

America's Choice 2020: Iowa Caucus

Wolf Blitzer: Sherrod Brown has regained his lead and then started to pull away from the other three candidates. Delaney, Obama, and Biden all are in a close three-way race for second but as more city votes come in then Biden could start to pull away since he was leading with white collar voters. We do have an announcement right now in the Republican primary, Trump has officially won the Republican Iowa Caucus.

Republican Iowa Results (57.6%)
Winner: Donald Trump: 55.7%
John Kasich: 44.3%

Democrat Iowa Results (43.9%)
Sherrod Brown: 22.8%
John Delaney: 19.3%
Michelle Obama: 19.1%
Joe Biden: 18.6%
Kristen Gillibrand: 11.4%

America's Choice 2020: Iowa Caucus

Wolf Blitzer: At nearly midnight, the Iowa caucus is still unclear for the Democrats and there is a fifth challenger that has risen above 15%. Gillibrand had a sudden rise as more of the former Sanders territory came in which also helped Jeter and Brown. Biden is back in second but Delaney remains in the top three which has surprised many. Many people doubted Delaney and his campaign should already claim victory even if he falls to fourth. Trump has expanded his lead over his now, very viable, contender John Kasich. Many at the start of the campaign didn't see Kasich as a threat to Trump, thinking he would only garner 25% or less outside the north but tonight, I think it is still a victory for him who proved he will be a fierce challenger to President Trump. My belief is both have victories tonight, Trump won Iowa but Kasich had many wins throughout the night since most of the media underestimated him.

Republican Iowa Results (79.3%)
Winner: Donald Trump: 56.4%
John Kasich: 43.6%

Democrat Iowa Results (59.1%)
Sherrod Brown: 22.7%
Joe Biden: 16.8%
John Delaney: 16.5%
Michelle Obama: 16.4%
Kristen Gillibrand: 15.3%
Derek Jeter: 6.%
Chealse Clinton: 3.9%

Sherrod Brown victory speech

Thank you Iowa for you support in this pivotal contest. You know, when we started this race, one of the things we said from the start is that the progressive agenda is the American agenda, and we have proved that tonight!

Tonight, the people of Iowa have sent a message to President Trump and the rest of the corrupt establishment he surrounds himself with, and that message is: we won't go quietly into the night, we won't let you wreck our country to appease your friends at the top of the ladder, we will stand up and support an agenda that opposes you! Tonight, you voted for stronger unions, for a higher minimum wage, for Glass-Steagall to be reinstated and the banks to be broken up.

But this fight is just getting started; we still have a long road ahead. Onward to New Hampshire!

Kirsten Gillibrand Speaks on the Iowa Caucus Results

“A big blow was dealt to the status quo in Iowa last night. The democratic establishment said, ‘You have no chance against a former Vice President and First Lady.’ The polls said, ‘You’re too far behind, you can’t win any delegates.’ Well we proved them all wrong! This campaign is built on all of you, and together we will build a progressive majority to build upon this momentum into New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, and eventually the White House!”

Mr. Moderator, can I be endorsed by Representative O'Rourke of Texas? I feel the endorsement would fit for me, since we are both from the same state, and stand up for the Dems.!
