If Le Pen doesn't make it, I'm going to put a hole through my wall

That's an odd way to celebrate

Weirdly, Lassalle has won a couple of communes on Corse-Sud (and tied with Fillon in a third), which are obviously well outside of the Bearnais/Basque areas. Anyone have any idea why?
Also, Hamon won 2 communes (pretty convincingly, too) in Haute-Corse..

Interesting. That would suggest Le Pen isn't so much extremely popular with young voters as she is very unpopular with older voters.

I think older voters associate her more with her father...

A map of the winner in each town sized by the population:

Wow, this certainly makes me feel better. Glad Le Pen isn't dominating super populous areas.

Marine Le Pen is in full left-wing mode. She said all of the money they were discussing belonged to the French, who are the only one who create wealth. She almost said "Labor is entitled to all it creates".

Overall, she's pretty bad and lacks actual propositions.

However, Macron is bad as well. MLP asks all the questions and Macron is stuck with answering and always defending himself.

This will probably go down as the worst debate since 1974. They can't even agree on basic facts.

Finally, the rest of the world catches up with the United States!

They might be intending to hurt the new president since they know he'll win. Macron is pretty hostile to Russia as is the French Assembly. We'll see how the fallout works.

As they should be.

Anyway, is there anything scandalous about the emails?

NYT has Macron winning Vaucluse right now... I expected it to be one of Le Pen's strongholds

IIRC there was a poll of the French electorate and how they felt about Macron and Le Pen's stances on the EU, immigration etc.  I believe people were closer to  Le Pens stance on immigration by a huge (yuge) number, and Macron's EU stance by a similar number.  So, a big amount of Macron's voters don't necessarily reject Le Pens restrictionist stance, but they are rejecting her and her baggage.  Makes one wonder how Fillon would have done had it not been for his personal transgressions.

Man, just think about how Juppé would have done!

So it looks like Le Pen is going to win 3 departements, Aisne, Ardennes, and Var.

No way that Macron is losing Toulon, he was only 8% behind her there in the first round. The on ther two are  large towns which should at least go even. Macron will take home Var.

Just 2 communes are left - 50.1-49.9 Marine/Eman
