Seems like a nice enough person, even if not too bright. Based on her low key nature, general public opinion on her will probably be tied more to her husband than has been usual for First Ladies.

She hasn't really done anything to warrant being an HP, despite her connection to Trump. I imagine if I moved to Slovenia and married a rich populist firebrand who was elected Prime Minister, I'd probably be a lot worse in the limelight than Melania has been.

HP. Somebody who plagiarized Michelle Obama’s convention speech and faked her vita is pretty classless. I find it also hard to believe that she married the Trumpster because of big love. Obviously it doesn’t look like they have such a close relationship. I don’t like marriage for purpose only.

It seems that the majority of folks who paint her as a horrible person are doing so because of her career choices (I thought the left hated slut-shaming?), who she is married to (I mean he's definitely a HP, but that doesn't make her one), not speaking English very well (how many languages do her critics speak?), or her convention speech (which I don't see how that warrants her being a HP).

This specifically is proving that the only tolerance that should be associated with the left is tolerance of those who vote for them.

Well, the speech business was embarassing and certainly didn't make me think much of her brightness. It doesn't make Melania unintelligent, but I doubt Michelle would ever do it.
