Turn 8 - March 16 to March 29, 2016

Who will reach the magic number 2,691 first? Only you can decide.

Tip of the Week - Persistence.

The Liberals

March 15 Primary Results (Popular Vote Percentage)

Florida - Murphy 36; Kerry 35; Clinton 20; Kennedy 10
Illinois - Kerry 33; Clinton 30; Murphy 24; Kennedy 13
Kansas - Kerry 33; Murphy 32; Clinton 24; Kennedy 11
Louisiana - Clinton 41; Kerry 26; Murphy 25; Kennedy 8
Maine - Kennedy 34; Kerry 30; Clinton 20; Murphy 16
Michigan - Kerry 35; Murphy 30; Clinton 21; Kennedy 14
Mississippi - Clinton 41; Kerry 26; Murphy 21; Kennedy 12
Missouri - Clinton 30; Murphy 29; Kerry 27; Kennedy 14
North Carolina - Murphy 33; Kerry 32; Clinton 26; Kennedy 9
Ohio - Murphy 34; Clinton 32; Kerry 27; Kennedy 7

With Brian Schweitzer dropping out following a disappointing performance on Super Tuesday and Joe Kennedy appearing to have temporarily halted campaigning, the race for leadership of the Liberal Party has now effectively become a three-way competition, with John Kerry, Chris Murphy, and Hillary Clinton all appearing to have wide paths towards successfully winning their party's nomination. While Kerry has maintained his lead both in national polling and in delegate count, Chris Murphy is less than one hundred delegates away from taking the lead, indicating that the upcoming primaries in the West and Northeast will be crucial to either's success. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, having capitalized upon her base in the Southeast, appears to also have expanded her support in the Southwest, providing an opportunity for her to gain large delegate hauls as a result of both the March 29 and June 7 primaries.

Total Delegate Count (as of March 16)

John Kerry - 845
Chris Murphy - 749
Hillary Clinton - 691
Joe Kennedy - 368
Brian Schweitzer - 277

Upcoming Primary Polling

National - Kerry 32; Clinton 28; Murphy 26; Kennedy 6

Alaska - Clinton 35; Kerry 30; Murphy 14; Kennedy 11
Arizona - Clinton 33; Kerry 27; Murphy 17; Kennedy 13
Hawaii - Kerry 42; Murphy 19; Kennedy 16; Clinton 13
Idaho - Murphy 33; Kerry 24; Clinton 20; Kennedy 13
Utah - Murphy 32; Clinton 30; Kerry 19; Kennedy 9
Washington - Kerry 33; Murphy 24; Clinton 20; Kennedy 13

Wisconsin - Kerry 36; Clinton 22; Murphy 21; Kennedy 11
Wyoming - Murphy 31; Clinton 29; Kerry 26; Kennedy 4

The Conservatives

With the unexpected withdrawal of Cathy McMorris Rogers from the Conservative leadership race, we can now project that Todd Young will be elected the next Leader of the Conservative Party. Young, who started out as an underdog, was quickly able to gain support nationwide, with an early victory in Iowa propelling him to large successes both in other early primary states and on Super Tuesday. The question now remains - who will Young choose as his Deputy Leader to begin the general election fight?

Total Delegate Count (as of March 16)

Todd Young - 2154 Delegates
Cathy McMorris Rogers - 759 Delegates
John Kasich - 17 Delegates

The Nationalists

March 15 Primary Results (Popular Vote Percentage)

Florida - Ernst 36; Cruz 32; Buchanan 32
Illinois - Ernst 42; Cruz 33; Buchanan 25
Kansas - Buchanan 35; Cruz 35; Ernst 30
Louisiana - Cruz 44; Ernst 32; Buchanan 24
Maine - Ernst 39; Cruz 31; Buchanan 30
Michigan - Ernst 41; Buchanan 30; Cruz 29
Mississippi - Cruz 47; Ernst 27; Buchanan 26
Missouri - Cruz 37; Buchanan 36; Ernst 27
North Carolina - Cruz 37; Buchanan 24; Ernst 29
Ohio - Cruz 43; Ernst 37; Buchanan 20

Both Joni Ernst and Ted Cruz saw large victories as a result of the March 15 primaries, with each expanding their delegate count substantially and furthering their positions as the two frontrunners in the Nationalist leadership race. Meanwhile, though Pat Buchanan appears to have been unable to campaign throughout the course of the last few weeks, his options are still wide open, with favorable territory in the upcoming primary races possibly setting the stage for a potential comeback.

Total Delegate Count (as of March 16)

Ted Cruz - 1074 Delegates
Joni Ernst - 1032 Delegates
Pat Buchanan -  824 Delegates

Upcoming Primary Polling

National - Cruz 37; Ernst 36; Buchanan 23

Alaska - Cruz 34; Buchanan 34; Ernst 27
Arizona - Buchanan 36; Ernst 33; Cruz 26
Hawaii - Ernst 42; Cruz 29; Buchanan 24
Idaho - Cruz 39; Ernst 30; Buchanan 26
Utah - Cruz 43; Ernst 29; Buchanan 23
Washington - Ernst 36; Buchanan 31; Cruz 28

North Carolina - Warren 33; Sanders 22; Brown 16; Gabbard 15; DelBene 14
Ohio - Brown 71; DelBene 10; Gabbard 7; Sanders 7; Warren 5

The March 15 primaries saw good news for all five candidates, with Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders remaining as the top two candidates both in national polling and in delegate count. Meanwhile, Suzan DelBene, who has seen her national poll numbers increase steadily over the course of the past two weeks, is now only eighteen delegates away from second place, indicating high potential for her campaign in future contests. Meanwhile, while a supreme performance by Sherrod Brown in his home state of Ohio has propelled him to fourth place, Tulsi Gabbard's home state of Hawaii will be voting next week, meaning that her campaign could see large delegate increases in the near future as well.

Total Delegate Count (as of March 16)

Elizabeth Warren - 766 Delegates
Bernie Sanders - 616 Delegates
Suzan DelBene - 598 Delegates
Sherrod Brown - 519 Delegates
Tulsi Gabbard - 431 Delegates

North Carolina - Edwards 35; Trump 26; Manchin 22; Goodwin 17
Ohio - Trump 30; Manchin 28; Goodwin 23; Edwards 19

While Donald Trump, John Bel Edwards, and Joe Manchin were each able to surpass the seven-hundred delegate mark as a result of the March 15 primaries, the real news this week is the surge of Carte Goodwin, who has gained significant amounts of momentum due to a large three-point national polling boost and unexpected victory in the delegate-rich state of Michigan. With Trump, Edwards, and Manchin all appearing to have refrained from campaigning over the course of the last two weeks, Goodwin could easily be able to capitalize off of his momentum, a wonderful sign for his campaign ahead of the upcoming primaries on March 29, April 12, and April 26.

Total Delegate Count (as of March 16)

Donald Trump - 827 Delegates
John Bel Edwards - 740 Delegates
Joe Manchin - 734 Delegates
Carte Goodwin - 629 Delegates

Upcoming Primary Polling

National - Trump 29; Manchin 24; Edwards 23; Goodwin 20

Alaska - Manchin 28; Trump 27; Edwards 23; Goodwin 17
Arizona - Trump 31; Manchin 23; Edwards 22; Goodwin 19

Todd Young (8.1) - Victory Speech

My fellow Conservatives, I got news for you. We have won the Conservative leadership race!

I started this race as the underdog, but tonight we are here celebrating our victory.
This happened thanks to all our volunteers and to their efforts all across this nation, state by state, district by district, county by county, city by city, town by town. This happened thanks to millions of corageus Conservatives standing up for a new course for our party.

Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get back to work for a Conservative victory in November. We'll continue to spread our message. Our message is that we want a true Conservative government that finally works again for the people and stands up for common-sense solutions that favors every American.

Working for the people means that we'll have to favor our hard working families and that we have to favor our unemployed citizens that are looking for a job. How can we do that? We'll help our medium and small businesses, we'll create the right environment in order to let them create more jobs. We'll not intrude in the decisions of our businesses, but we'll favor our businesses. We'll cut taxes, in order to favor every American, we'll reduce useless government spending. We'll create the right condictions for every American who wants to build his own economy activity.

We'll balance our budgets, we'll stand for an healtcare reform that keeps health care decisions between the citizen and the doctor, not the federal government.
We'll improve our education system, because the next generations deserve a better future and education is a key for guarantee that. In Congress, I have strongly worked for favorize our students, and that's what I'll continue to do as the next Prime Minister of the United States.

I'm a former Marine officer, and I know how defense work. We'll work hard for increasing and improving our national security and defense, for making our country more safe that now, for defeating the enemies that are threatening our nation.

We want less government in the life of Americans and more about the life of Americans in the federal government. Our Conservative government will finally works again for the people, for all the people of the United States of America.

Thank you all and may God bless you, may God bless the United States of America!

On May 27th the Endorsers of Tulsi in Parliament went to the floor and gave several speeches attacking the Government for failing to protect Leaders like Mr. Musk and leaving America more vulnerable while sacrificing personal liberty and perpetuating war overseas. They moved an emergency motion of no confidence in the Ministers responsible for security. The motion failed.

In this week, Mr. Young will campaign in four Midwest states (Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana). We want more Americans back to work and we know that for being succesfull on this mission we have to create a better environment for our entreprises and for our citizens that want to build their own economic activity and their own life. We can help our businesses and our hard-working families by cutting taxes, reduce spendings and regulations, increase incentives for those, young or not, who want to start an economic activity. And that's what a conservative government will do."

Todd Young: Well, we are looking to a good number of Conservatives for the position. It's still early to speak of a shortlist, we just won the leadership, but I and the team have some names on the mind. I can announce that MP Dan Coats of Indiana, a strong Conservative with a full experience and full skills, will help our team as the head of the Deputy Leader searching committee. I want a Deputy Leader with the right experience and the right skills for the job and our party is full of that kind of persons.
