Why do juvenile libertarian hypocrites think terms like "butthurt" have any place in political discourse? Questions for the philosophers, truly.

It'd be a stretch to define LibertarianRepublican's posts as within the realm of political discourse.

And that is a bad thing why?

To be honest I feel pretty good, almost like a weight is off my shoulders. It's pretty hard to be facing long odds every day, and now I've accepted that it's over.

At 74, he would be 78 running for a 2nd term in four years.

Also, I am in no way convinced that he will be able to withstand a relentlessly nasty Trump onslaught of attacks.

Good luck to Hillary with that - He political career may go but it will do so much damage to her, it will be unheard of!

To Hillary's benefit, she has been doing this most of her life and dealing with vicious attacks from her opponents, Bernie hasn't really experienced that. She can handle herself. Sanders will remain in the Senate though for probably one more term.

we have a choice between a neoliberal corporatist warmounger who could be indicted and an outright fascist/white supremacist. hope your happy now
*warmonger
**you're

Now, comments like these bring me back to a time when my candidate was on the losing side and how we were called every name in the book from uneducated racists to hillbillies and hicks, so I completely understand the frustration.

Keep in mind that if you really want a progressive president, in a choice of Donald J. Trump vs. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the choice could not be more clear. To sit the race out or to waste your vote to Jill Stein or any other left-wing fringe candidate is going to do nothing but benefit Trump. If you're really a progressive, liberal, socialist, Democrat, whatever you choose to call yourself, you're going to have to hold your nose and vote for Hillary, just as I, a very BITTER "butthurt" Hillary supporter, did for Obama in 2008 and 2012. I even contemplated voting for John McCain in 2008 after the primary, but the Sarah Palin selection combined with some deep soul searching led me to vote for Obama. I do not regret my vote. I still to this day believe Hillary would have been a better president, but I applaud Obama for his progressive accomplishments he has made during his tenure as President, and I do believe that he has done a much better job than McCain or Mitt Romney ever would have done. ObamaCare isn't perfect, but it's a good start, and Hillary can build on this progress. The first sitting president to publicly endorse marriage equality was amazing as well. I'll be the first to admit that Obama has done far more for our LGBTQIA community than I ever would have imagined.

In the end, it really comes down to principle, and I have realized that over time. Hillary and Bernie, you and I, are on the same team. We may not agree on every issue, but fundamentally, we believe in the same ideals of liberty, equality, and freedom for everyone regardless of circumstance or demographics, a YUUUUUGE contrast from the buffoon whom the Republicans are about to nominate. I implore you to ask yourself, "Would Bernie Sanders want to see Donald Trump as President?" I think not. He even admitted that even on her worst day, a President Hillary Clinton would be ten times better than any Republican President.

I have always respected and admired Bernie Sanders for the passion he brings to the political discourse, and to be honest, had any candidate other than Hillary ran against him, he would have been my first choice. I hope over time that you and other Sanders supporters will join our cause to build on the progress that President Obama has started. I'm sure it'll take you time, but if you really want a President who will look out for the middle class, protect our environment, bolster our economy, provide opportunities for everyone, champion the civil rights of women and minorities, Hillary is your gal. If you want a candidate who will make our country the laughingstock of the entire planet, Trump is your guy.

Well-said, I couldn't have said it better. There will of course be a small minority of liberals who bought into the right-wing conspiracies about Hillary being the most dishonest, untrustworthy politician on the planet, but fortunately, most of our brethren on the left will vote smart, and vote Democrat, even if Bernie was their first preference (as he was mine).

Well, he put up a good fight, and he still has some wins in his future. He pulled Clinton a bit to the left, and showed her some of her vulnerabilities. She's more prepared for a GE as a result. I'm ready for Clinton supporters to stop hating on all Sanders supporters, as if we're all the same, and realize that Clinton's not beating Trump without Sanders supporters.

I agree. Sanders has performed a service to the party by keeping up pressure and attention. His supporters, for the most part, are decent people: except for those who would consider voting for Trump. These last ones are despicable human beings, who should join their Fuehrer ASAP.

I'm not mad about the overall results as much as I'm mad at Missouri. Not only did they deny Cruz a victory, it they also took it from Bernie at the last second.

This is the sum of it. I've already raised my last alcohol fix in Clinton's honor, and now I think it's high time we all make our peace and move on.

Here's to telling the Right - as one voice and one party - where they can stick their swastikas. Come tomorrow, once the bruises stop stinging, I'll be fighting for Clinton the whole way through.

I'm still convinced Sanders would be stronger than Hillary in GE against Trump, but that's a moot point now. At least we showed you not to take things for granted Wink

I've had it with lesser of 2 evils. You know, the lesser of 2 evils won the 1932 German Presidential election....

Hopefully she can find a way to win Sanders voters because those are the type of people that she is going to have to convince when she runs against Trump (working class white voters). Hopefully this helped her among those voters so she can have a decent margin in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Hillary would be more comparable to the SPD than Hindenburg, who would be the GOP establishment to Trump's NSDAP. Sanders is Thalmann of course.

If Trump or Cruz is the nominee, I think I will probably end up supporting Hillary.

If Kasich or a moderate GOP by a brokered convention is the nominee, I will surely support Jill Stein, who is probably a fringe candidate. Hillary is a bad candidate  IMO. She is too much into wars & violence & that coupled up with her dishonesty is a deal breaker for me. It's just that the GOP people are monsters.

We need new ideas, a more progressive face - I don't care whether it is Stein or who other, the Democrat party needs reform & for that it needs to lose a large chunk of the voters to a more progressive face, inside or outside the party. If the future has to be saved, then sometimes people have to swallow a bitter pill.

A monster like Trump or a maniac like Cruz needs to stay away but I am not ready to compromise my ideas - I've had it with chose the lesser of the 2 evils.

My congratulations to Hillary supporters - Different people feel different way, Sanders supporter are not homogeneous - Some are not outright Democrats, Some are independents torn between Trump & Sanders (I hate Trump), some like Hillary, some don't. It's a much broader coalition than you're Hillary votebank which is essentially the guaranteed Dem Vote which any Joe can get for the Dems.

After this election, it will be time to go separate ways for Sanders supporters - I think most will go with Clinton, but a section won't. And I know Bernie will campaign hard for Hillary but that won't change my stand. I have never been personality based, for me it is about the issues. And I am not gonna change my stances just because Bernie Sanders or someone else tells me to.

I hope this will be a starting point for a progressive revolution  - And we get more candidates in the mold of Bernie in the future!

The SDP supported Hindenburg in 1932.

I didn't mean for it be that much specifically about the 2016 election. Now voting for one of 2 candidates, there are always going to be a multiple things you have disagreements with them on, but when both are just terrible, it's time to do something else. I held my nose and voted Obama in 2012, but there's a limit to these things.
