Dad finds relief mowing, and he doesn't want to give that up.

Your dad still mows the lawn?  You didn't help out with that even before you were in CAD, and had little to do all day?  What about walking the dog?  Is that mostly you, or do your parents do a substantial portion of that as well?

2 full bathrooms, but we only use the shower in the main bathroom.  The small bathroom tub is a make shift storage, so we've relegated it to a 1/2 bath in essence.
What do you store in the bathtub?

Dude you're from Tennessee, I'm sure you know that certain social strata in the South are apt to store just about anything in a bathtub.

Don't hate. I'm pretty sure the jacuzzi tub in the guest bathroom of my parents' house is full of Christmas decorations and wrapping paper.

I know I'll catch some flack for the paragraph below, but I don't care!

It's been a very busy, but a very fun evening! I am just now home to relax. I was home earlier, but only for 30 minutes before we went back and town. Mom and Dad got a new toy for my school work - a new Windows 8 Touch Screen Desktop Computer. I will get the AutoCAD software for my home before the end of August for free, and my computer is 3 years old and starting to wear down, so it was time to get a new one. When I get the AutoCAD and 3D Maxx installed on the computer, I will be able to do many drawings and designs. It has 8GB Memory and a 2 Terabyte Hard Drive! That's HUGE!! They are trying to give me every tool I need to succeed, even if it means investing a lot of money! I will still have my laptop for casual use.

Um, it's not 1996 anymore. PCs don't "wear down" after only 3 years. Defrag your HDD, de-porn-ify everything, add some RAM and a new graphics card and you're probably good to go.

The computer will be used for more porn than cad.

I'll keep my laptop around for that. Tongue

Do you do that before, after, or during your daily Bible devotions? Wink

I have a feeling they're in far worse financial straits than he knows. They spend a lot of money for people who live in a trailer.

But property taxes can't be that bad.  I mean... if they don't need/want a house, you have to give them credit for that.

Mom and I converse about our finances all the time.  She knows my finances (save for the now cancelled porn subscriptions) and I know their finances.  We have an open communication when it comes to that.

Wait a minute... you told us that you told them about the porn.

Yeah, I've had my laptop for 6.5 years now, and it's still working fine.  Granted, I've replaced the hard drive twice, but that was my own fault (dropped it a couple times).  It was overheating for a while, but I just took it apart, cleaned out the fan, and it was all good.

Last time I asked, he claimed that they were walking the dog now, but of course there's no way to tell for sure.  It is telling though that he never mentions walking the dog when he recaps the day, except when people ask him directly about it.

I would kill for one of those Jacuzzi tubs.... And definitely not for storage purposes.

Its still there, but windows auto does it over a period of time or something, atleast that's what my brother said when we upgraded years ago.
Here is a thing on it
http://lifehacker.com/5976424/what-is-defragging-and-do-i-need-to-do-it-to-my-computer
It seems it may be a good idea to do it your self if you shut your computer down during the auto set time.

Considering he waited so long to cancel them, it's pretty clear he never told his parents. I thought we assumed he was always lying? I guess it's nice to see confirmation.

Just because we live in a trailer doesn't mean we're dirt poor.  They are close to being debt free themselves, so they had room to get this computer.  We could live in a house, but we like being out in the country with none of the urban noise pollution.  Dad finds relief mowing, and he doesn't want to give that up.  The only place they would ever consider moving is Grandma's house when she passes.  Dad would still have a big 5 acre open lawn he could mow, the only problem is there is a major US Highway right in front of the driveway and is not in the country, so it would be a lot noisier from the traffic.  They're not dirt poor by any means.  They're not super rich, but Dad brings home a good size paycheck.  We have no car payments on any of our three cars, the land they purchased in 1981 is paid off, and a lot of their other bills are either way down or gone.  I'm the biggest bill they've got, really.

Bushie, caste elitists will never envision you and your people as anything but bumbling, straw-chewing nincompoops, so they take it upon themselves to assume things about your life and then blame you for it, armed with smiles and so-called 'advice'. I am not a religious man, but if I were I may be inclined to call it the devil's work.

I think it is precisely because they live in a trailer that they aren't in such bad financial condition - it seems to me they also drive older cars.  I think they're very parsimonious people.

Nobody's sister in law gives him a fair shake.  They're notorious, these in-laws - they want to get their greedy claws into the family inheritance, and see the son they don't have their p. all over thrown out in the street.

We're still walking the dog.  All three of us share equal time with her.  We are trying to teach her to be obedient to all three of us, so we all walk her, either together or separately.

Precisely!  She sees Bushie getting fat as a tick off them, and she wants some of that.  Free Golden Corral.
