I'm re-discovering something as I've gotten up at 0500 the past two mornings: My body gets tired a lot sooner at that wake up than at an 0800 or 0830 start! I feel myself getting tired pretty rapidly, so I had to abandon course and go ahead and get my shower! I'm going to try to finish the game and then have a brief Bible Study for 30 minutes. I think I will up my bed time from 2230 to 2130, though.

This sounds like a prelude to attendance issues.

How so?

You're starting to tell us how tired you are. That will grow and then you won't be feeling up to going.  It's a slow progression.  I have a feeling the job attendance problems started this way.

All I'm saying is my body gets tired sooner because I wake up sooner.  Isn't that natural?

Sure.  I'm convinced this will still be a story line.  Time will tell if I'm wrong.

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing, but I assure you that I am not tired from school, just tired from being awake nearly 16 hours.

So why do you need to be awake 3 hours early?? Just get up at like 6:30 and if you go to bed at 11 pm you'll have enough sleep.

Class starts at 7:40, so I like to be there at 7:10 to get my computer logged in and chill for a bit, which means I need to leave at 6:40.  I fix my lunch at 6:20, watch the news and eat breakfast from 5:40-6:20, shave and brush my teeth from 5:30-5:40, and have a quick Bible Study from 5:00-5:30, so I only get up about an hour and 40 minutes before I leave.

I scratched out all the things you don't need to do.  Study the bible in the afternoon, or while eating your lunch.

I have Bible Studies at lunch and the afternoon/evening as well, but there's something about getting into the Bible the very first thing of a morning that makes my day go so much better.  I can't really explain it, but getting into God's Word first thing in the morning provides a real boost to my day.  It's the same concept if I don't go to church on Sunday morning, my week doesn't go quite right.  It is one of those supernatural things that is too hard for words.  I believe its more than psychological.

Do your bible study while you're "chilling" for half an hour at your computer. Or just get there at 7:35 and cut out the chilling time. You're just unnecessarily exhausting yourself. You can also save twenty minutes by making your lunch the night before. That right there is almost an extra hour of sleep!

I like how he brags about drinking water but the "water" is really pink lemonade.  Classic BushOK.

It starts with a bottle of water with 2 Pink Lemonade squirts in it, kind of like the MIO products, except its Dasani.  It has like 10 calories.

It is lunch time.  The morning went well. I'm almost finished with CADD orientation and should start the first CADD lesson by Noon.

Good Wednesday Evening! I am home from a great day and we're off and running.  No, scratch that, we're off and flying!  I was able to officially start the CADD material today. The first course is scheduled for 120 class hours which is 4 weeks.  The first lesson was supposed to take 15 hours (2 1/2 days).  I started it at 11:30, so I should have had it finished by the end of the day Friday.  However, I am already finished with it, test and all!  I passed the test with a 90/100, passing score was 85 and I finished it in 3 classroom hours, so I am already 12 hours or 2 days ahead of schedule.  I'll be able to start Lesson 2 tomorrow morning at 0740.  It is also slotted for 15 hours which should be finished by lunch on Monday.  I hope to have it completed by the end of the day tomorrow!  If I can do that, I will be anywhere between 3 1/2 and 4 days ahead of schedule just in a day and a half of work!  We'll see how things go tomorrow.

This class sounds too easy.  Are  you sure it's legit and not just some high school vo-tech course?

For one, the book is ~700 pages.  Right now, it is easy, but I will eventually be developing actual diagrams, drafts, and plans to build up my portfolio that will go with me to job interviews next Spring.  This first course is just the fundamentals and I would be amiss to expect this rapid and easy pace to continue much further.  It may be easy through Labor Day or whenever i finish this first course, but things will pick up from there.  Just looking through the book briefly and I see many challenging projects and drafts ahead.  It tells me I need to buckle up and get ready for a ride!  There is no doubt I will be challenged!

You should make yourself become slim and move to Manhattan and become a successful Jewish screenwriter/director with a hot big-boomed shiksa girlfriend.

You're very creative.. don't sell yourself short.  What else have you got to do? At least write in a big-boodied black girlfriend in Azania.

Cool though, opie!  I'll have to think about that. Smiley

Anyway, I just posted this on facebook in response to one of Walter's comments on my portfolio post, but as a kid I played quite a bit with Turbo CAD when it was popular in the 1990's, so I'm not entirely new to all this.  It's just been a long time.  The software we are using in class is AutoCAD 2014 and 3D Maxx 2014, so we've got the "latest and greatest" on our computers.  The more I get into this, the more I am convinced this was an excellent choice.  It may have been initially thought of by my father, but I have embraced it and I'm extremely happy with this class.  This is going to be fun.  I'm looking forward to starting my portfolio. Smiley  I may try to slow down just a bit tomorrow.  I want to absorb all this and let it sink in.  I hope to bring my book home over the weekend so I can spend some time studying it and reading ahead.
