Cotton has always been an extremist, I hope that he will
lose.

I hope too. But with rapidly reddening Arkansas - who knows.

I imagine that Cotton would work with the Dem hawks on foreign issues, but you're right that on domestic issues he's always (read his old Crimson columns) been severely conservative. "I'm not going to be a backbench, go-along, get-along senator the way Mark Pryor has been the last five years under Barack Obama."

Pryor ranked most moderate of the Democratic caucus. Hagan is 8th and Landrieu is 15th.

Pryor is also one of the top 3 Democrats that most often sponsor bipartisan bills. Hagan/Landrieu are 10 and 11.

Cotton again outraised Pryor, $1.25-1 million though the COH gap is still 2-1. Not that cash really matters here, as Lincoln can attest. Sabato moves that race to Lean R.

Pryor is a weathervane on abortion. One of the most pro-life states, though less an issue in itself than textbook Moderate Heroism.

I prefer to have a moderate hero than a far right republican voting against student loans, ignoring the fact he actually used student loans during his time at Harward. And some other comments he has made on women,...

ABC featured the Senate race as part of their 14 in '14 series. Nothing we didn't know already.

Cotton votes against the "food stamp bill", aka farm bill. SNAP aside, too many tariffs and not enough money for AR.

Well, at least Pryor has something more to attack Cotton on:

To quote someone who despises Cotton: "farm legislation is important to a tiny and dwindling number of people in Arkansas... most people just don't care."

Tim Griffin says that he is simply putting his political career on hold, and will likely run for office again sometime in the future.

I bet he regrets not running for Gov.

Griffin should've run for Guv. He's closely associated with the local GOP and would've been an ideal party leader, unlike the dinosaur Hutchinson.

Tomorrow Pryor will bring some farmers to the Capitol to hit Cotton for the farm bill. Also, Cotton introduced Rand Paul at the GOP convention tonight.

Rand Paul? Wow, I didn't think Cotton could disgust me more.
