He doesn't take well to criticism does he?

EDIT: Looks like he's deleted the responses to the critics.

Nah, they're still there, you just have to click "all" instead of "no replies" at the top

If the Republicans don't get Brown to run I think Weld is pretty interested. I don't think Weld would vote that much differently than Brown would/had in the US Senate. Maybe on Tax Cuts Weld wouldn't vote for them if they weren't paid for but I'm not sure of that at all.

Yeah. Weld might have a chance if he does make it through the primary though.

Are there any explanations yet about the "Bqhatevwr" incident?

The SOS has announced the primary date for 4/25 and the GE for 6/30. Filing deadline in 4 weeks, so Brown has to make up his mind quickly.

...jumping the gun just a little bit, since Kerry hasn't been confirmed yet, even if it's a given...

Why do you give Weld a difficult chance of even getting past the primary? He does have name recognition from being Governor there.

Damn. I'll probably be in another country then. I suppose I'll have to file for an absentee ballot.

True, but he's pretty liberal on social issues and I don't think he has the same sort of appeal to conservatives as Brown. Though I could be wrong....

Brown's the only one who could win that seat, and right now we don't know if he's even running.

Yeah, no Republican other than Brown has any chance at all. It's nice that Weld's back in the state again, but he's back after at least a decade of not only absence, but radio silence on Massachusetts affairs. (The only exception of which I am aware is a novel that he wrote about the Swift River Valley tragedy, which I'm given to understand got mixed reviews.) He even tried to run for governor of another state! His time as governor is well-remembered but that doesn't necessarily mean we want him back in office now.

Brown moving closer to entry. First he needs an ally as state Pub chair.

How messy will this get, Bay Staters? Brown first broke this news to the Daily Caller, which if nothing else shows that he's now willing to reengage with national conservative media. Another bit of advice: don't tie a hand behind your back financially.

At this point, regardless of the result, I'm not expecting the process to be at all pretty.
