Gravity.

See this movie.  See it in theaters.  See it in 3D.

That is all.

I haven't seen a movie in a movie theater in months, but yesterday I watched The Little Mermaid with my cousin (since it just came out on DVD/Blu-ray/Amazon streaming.)  Wonderful film, if I may say so myself; one of Disney's finest classics.

Easily their most openly misogynistic film if I do say so.

Gravity

Extremely well done but I don't think I'm as in love with it as most people seem to be. Clooney's character is the best thing in the movie.

The Kings of Summer
My Own Private Idaho
Pretty in Pink

there is a few more I can't think of right now.

Gravity; not bad. A bit thin on the character development, emphasis on visuals. Thus very zeitgeist despite not being a superhero movie.

Machete Kills

Surprisingly boring. It's basically only worth watching for the ridiculous amount of beautiful women in it.

Was supposed to be Gravity but that did not pan out so it's actually Ozu's Early Summer. A beautifully done film, and really the only one of his postwar works that I think you can honestly say 'You'll laugh! You'll cry!' about.

Does Machete at least kill, if nothing else?

Gravity

Best movie I've seen in a while. Cuaron is a genius. He better win all the awards.

I'm looking forward to seeing Gravity - the reviews seem to be great, but what else do you expect from a Sandra Bullock movie?

I watched Hangover III last night, primarily because I watched the first two and felt it needed to be done. It was all right - better than the second one, but worse than the first.

Eh? Sandra Bullock has made many movies that received terrible reviews.

Monty Python's The Meaning of Life

Hilarious, though weaker than the other MP feature films.

Eyes Wide Shut. Again. Really an interesting, intoxicating movie - and I'm guessing a bit of a middle finger to Hollywood. Tongue

I don't think Zigler or whatever was Red Cloak, although a lot of folks seem to think so. Red Cloak was not the guy at the beginning either dancing with Alice, although there were certainly connections.

Gal Young 'Un, a wonderful little low budget movie from 1979 directed by Victor Nunez.. set in the 1920s.  Anyone heard of it? Its rather obscure.. pops up on the Sundance channel.

Pulp Fiction.

Probably the greatest movie of the 1990's.

Mean Girls (watching it in sociology class as part of the unit on adolescence).

Great, of course.
