According to the last PPP poll, ~60% of Murkowski's votes came from McAdams supporters and ~40% were from Miller supporters. If we assume that Miller had a 10 point lead before the announcement, that would mean that Murkowski would have to convince ~55% of McAdams supporters and ~30% of Miller supporters to write her name in in order to have a chance. Considering that McAdams seems like a better candidate than Schlesinger and that Lieberman was actually on the ballot, I don't see it happening.

IIRC she said in her announcement speech that "this Republican woman cares about Alaska."

As opposed to all the Republican women who do not care about Alaska.
