The KD might overtake the SD when about 70% of the votes are in ...

Yeah, I would have prefered a slightly bigger majority than that, but a majority even if it's by one seat, that still means the right can continue govern without influence from either Greens or Sweden Democrats.

Still only predictions, so it'll be a long night.

The first of these seems a much safer prediction than the latter.

MP has just overtaken C, btw. Smiley

I´m not sure about either of these. The race between SD and KD might just as well be as tight as the race for #1, even though I believe now that the Social Democrats might come out very, very slightly ahead of the Moderates.

I´m currently predicting 5.5% for both SD and KD.

I don't think Kd can be bigger than Sd unfortunatley. The last districs to be counted are in Stockholm, and in Malmö. They'll do very well in Malmö.

Yeah, but Göteborg is also very strongly for the KD, so this seems to balance out.

Malmö's pretty far in, actually. Göteborg's lagging the most.

Sd has 14,3% of the vote for city council  in my city when 13 out of 34 districs have reported.

Bleh, Skåne sucks sometimes.

Yeah, looks like the government may actually get back in with a tiny majority. Damn.

Yes, looks like a majority for the Alliance now, with the S and the SD dropping a bit more.

With 87% of the vote counted:

49.3% - Alliance
43.5% - Red-Red-Green
  5.8% - SD
  1.4% - Others

They're still 6000 votes short... but on a uniform swing they'll make up a bit more than that minuscule distance. Though SD has won the race for largest party - I declare it officially over.

Sd surly had great success, but they're nowhere near biggest, I think you're talking of S or SAP Wink

1700 votes down. Though the gap actually crept up at the last two updates, not that that  means anything.

The SD advantage has now grown again to more than 8000 votes, so they'll probably finish in 6th place.

And down again to 827.

Eh. This is both closer than between any individual parties, and more important. Though I think we know how it'll end.

So one of the questions that remain is, will Sahlin resign tonight?

Not if the government ends up a seat short, I would presume. Tongue

213 precincts still out, in every province but one. Government still trailing, by 5000 votes again. Still totally up in the air whether they'll pull this out or not.
I'm giving up. Guarded milkpot and all that.
