So was it named that before or after Xahar "hacked" the forum?

It's had a number of names related to me. I believe at this time last year, it was "If Xahar gave you this link, go away."

I find the RPP/PCP's obsession with you to be fascinating.

And I find Mr. Xahar's obsession with us to be fascinating as well. He went to such lengths to get information out of us! It's truly amazing! Wink

Because the place is hilarious. Do a search for "Xahar sock" and see how many hits turn up.

I’d like to thank everyone here for making this event possible. After the close results of the June election, I did not imagine at all that I would be running for President again so soon. When MasterJedi dropped out of the race, a search began for someone to replace him as the party’s standard bearer.

Needless to say, I had not thought of myself as a possible contender for President in October. However, as my name was increasingly floated as a possible candidate, I started thinking about it. I then realized that I had something that I thought I could offer to the race for President. That is, my perspective as someone on the outside of the federal government gave me insight into a unique point. That is, the regions were growing, but the federal government was not reacting to this.

As such, I have proposed a platform, with a principle focus of the federal government interacting with the regions to promote legislation on a variety of issues, with the ultimate goal of fostering the principle of regional governance. In doing this, I also hope to move the party beyond the ideology of “nay”, something that almost seems to have become expected of us recently. If we are to succeed, we are going to have to give the voters reason to vote for our candidates, rather than a reason to vote against the other parties’ candidates.

In the six days since I stepped up to be our Presidential candidate, I would like to think that I have done a great deal to realize a more positive program and to give voters a reason to support this ticket. It is under these circumstances that I would like to accept the Progressive Conservative Party’s nomination for President. It is my sincerest hope that not only does this blueprint bring my ticket success, but also bring success to future candidates of the party.

Now I would like to surrender the floor to the other half of the ticket, former Senator of the Northeast and current Northeast Representative Smid! Dave bless Atlasia!

Well I find your super secret forum to be fascinating and I can see why Xahar was obsessed with it. It just seems like something teenage girls would do. Of course DWTL was the head of your party back then so.....

Vote PiT/Smid. Support regions. Did you know that Lief has lied and backtracked on his position regarding regions? Check this out:

I also support a role for regions

Governor:

1) Abolish Regions

Lt. Governor

1) Abolish superfluous regional offices
2) Abolish regions

I don't recall lying, but yes, in the roughly four months since that vote, the activity in the Northeast brought by the regional legislature has shown me that abolishing regions would be a bad idea at this time.

What the hell is a progressive conservative?

Guess this means I'm voting for Al.  Appears like he's the only one who's honest about what he really is.

Yes. Progressive as in looking to the future. Not progressive as in leftist. I'm not sure what the difficulty is here.

The liberals tried to hijack a good word because they found out "liberal" held negative connotations.

Yup, and you guys have proven me wrong, both through the activity of the legislature so far and the wide and enthusiastic support of the electorate for the legislature.

"Liberal" was a good word until it got hijacked by what we now think of as liberals.

Roosevelt's Progressive Party was center-left, I suppose. He was a progressive conservative, and one of my favorite politicians.

Egad, is that what you'd like our party to become?
