This election is now over. Mint's vote came after the deadline and is so disqualified. I'll tally the rest later, when I have more time.

By a vote of 12-0, with one abstaining and one invalid vote (Mint), AndrewCT is reelected.

By a vote of 4-4, with five abstaining and one invalid vote (Mint), Barnes and Rowan Brandon are tied in the race for Lt. Governor. A run-off election will take place within the week; I defer the power to open this voting booth to the Governor as I will not be around. (Note that order of preferences does not come into play here because write-ins for names that do not correspond to registered Atlasians, for people who have not announced their candidacies and for people who have not voted for themselves are not considered preferences.)

I have no problem with either Barnes or Rowan Brandon becoming Lt. Governor in a run off election, but I do have one question that I could not figure out by in the Northeast Constitution. Does it make a difference when it comes to write-ins that Barnes declared that he would accept the write-ins for the office while the election was on going? Because I noticed that Rowan had declared a few minutes that he would accept them after the election was over.

I thought the constitution said that we had 3 days after the end of the election to accept write-in votes. I could be mistaken though.

I will accept either the result of the run off or the Law of the Constitution.  I only wish the law is observed faithfully.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see anything in the New Northeast Constitution or the Northeastern Voting Regulations that requires a write-in candidate to even accept votes at all.

The closest applicable thing (from the NE VR) is this:
