Earl's Blast From The Past
Going back in time since.. well, wouldn't you like to know?

December 9th, 2009

In a galaxy far far away..

Earl should resign. If he refuses to resign and continues to be a terrible SoFA then he should be fired.

This little poll was conducted about Earl's position as SoFA back in March. Yes, he has a history of not exactly doing a stellar job and appearing at the last minute.

Earl should resign         21 (80.8%)
Earl should be fired         3 (11.5%)
Earl should continue as SoFA         2 (7.7%)

Not exactly encouraging results. Regardless, he has continued through criticism from the beginning of the year now to the end of it. Are we finally at the end of our rope with Earl? One can only hope.

What's more, is there was another thread started way back in March that was a petition for Earl's removal from the position, which garnered many signatures, including many of whom who are Senators now including myself:

X Hashemite

When he does the job, he's absolutely great. However, he hasn't done the job lately.

Since this had happened once before I would have hoped Earl would have either appointed a deputy SoFA or at least informed Bgwah of his upcoming absence. So with much regret...

X NC Yankee

x Marokai Blue

As a member of the SDP, it's hard to speak against Earl. But there is no excuse for being so late on something that doesn't require a great deal of time.

So, has the time finally come? Will we learn the lessons of the past? Time will tell. We are long overdue for a new SoFA.

For readers of this publication, I'd like to point you to my exclusive interview with Senator Tmthforu94, where he comments on SoFA Earl.

Earl's been by all accounts a very good SoFA, but we have elections, and we need things done.

Ideally, he'll come now that I've contacted him. Otherwise, we're in trouble.

Yes I'd say we're in trouble. Though I don't know how you can suggest Earl has done a great job as SoFA, as he's made several errors and has been a pain to contact virtually all year.

Future Midwest Governor Mechaman would like to personally thank Marokai Blue for endorsing his run for the governorship.

He would also like to take this time to encourage all current senators to confirm Marokai Blue for the Atlasian Court. Although he disagrees with his economic views he believes that someone with Blue's respect for civil liberties and experience is perfectly suited for the court.

I agree with this. Being SoFA is a great responsibility, and he seems not to be able to take anymore.

What, I don't even get a mention?  Tongue  I'm still a Senator, last time I checked.

*Now that you've left the Senate, what are your opinions of the Senators now, before the upcoming elections? Answer individually, starting with whoever you like.

NCYank- Probably my favorite senator as we are very close on the issues.

Tmthu- A good legislator, but seems to be willing to compromise way too quick and often.

Hashemite-Competent, and fairly moderate.

Afleitch- I was never sure what to think of him, sometimes he seemed like a left-wing nut, and other times like a conservative.

Marokai- Always a left-wing nut. Wink Timely as his time as PPT, and writes some bills which keeps the senate moving along.

Maxque-Who? Not sure this guy has done anything in the senate ever.

Franken- Don't know much about him.

Franzl-Grinds my gears sometimes but a competent legistlator.

Excuse me, but I did not tell him to vote for that idiot DWTL, all I said is the ARC endorsed Mint. Notice the random distribution of ARC members lower preferences? Yeah, thought so.

It doesn't really matter, his vote is invalid anyway.

He registered on the 5th, the be eligible to vote, you have to have registered on the second or before, as per the voting booth's rules. Therefore, he did not register in time, and his vote doesn't count.

Hey, that's me. Originally I was going to write you in as my first preference until Hamilton told me not to.

You shouldn't have had to write him on. Legally, he was required to have been on the ballot. Now I get to sue this psycho President of ours.
