The latest in the venerable tradition of libertarian 13 year olds posting moronic timelines in the what-if board:

It is 2100, and another presidential election is coming up. There has been some serious tensions between Poland and Swanceany (a mixture of Switzerland, France, and Germany. Switzerland doesn't follow a non-interventionist foreign policy anymore.) Some conspiracy theorist predict a World War 3, but for now things remain slightly calm in America. China and India is getting stronger, and America and Canada are thinking of uniting into one country called The United States of Canerica, but no major move has taken place yet. The economy is mixed right now with a 7.5% unemployment. It's getting worse. After a long wait, here are the results of the 2100 presidential election:

Electoral College:

531 EVs all together

Republicans: 315 EVs

Democrats: 216 EVs

266 EVs to win

Popular Vote:

Republicans: 51% of vote

Democrats: 48% of vote

(Note: We sold Idaho to Canada to pay for a war. Oklahoma has the most electoral votes because people were rapidly moving there because of massive oil discoveries. Oklahoma is also a swing state. The area between Nevada and Massachusetts is called the Minority Belt, that is why the Democrats did so well in this area.)

How does World War 3 and the future elections look like?

You decide!

Technically that'd be fairly accurate for [insert music genre here], including and especially whatever dreck he currently subjects himself to.

No, there's very few people who listen to the same music as me who live in suburbs.

Many of the most virulently anti-suburban people live in suburbs.

It's easy for upper middle class white liberals to criticize some of these policing strategies, because they never had to live in the South Bronx or East Flatbush.  They would be fine going back to the days when the NYPD didn't event try to police large parts of NYC.  But, believe me, it's certainly better to have overzealous cops than gangs killing kids left and right.

While I would have liked more community policing and a less stop-and-frisk tactics and slavish devotion to crime stats, he's done a good job overall.

Why must it become political issue though, if she doesn't want it to?

So annoying.

And yeah, I figured Oakvale was trying to make a joke.

Yes, but people 'spoke' first and thought second. I was worried he was going to end up getting lynched.

If you were actually reading this thread and not just falling back on a ridiculous victimization complex (which ironically the people who complain about "tumblr victimolgists" have far more than those they complain about), you'd notice that everyone who posted here was actually not angry at oakvale.

God you're insufferable. The person who posted it in this thread called it the 'worst thing in the thread' and it took Oakvale to come in here and set the record straight.

The feeling is mutual my friend Purple heart

Go on. Why am I insufferable? Smiley

Mostly the same reasons that you said I am :b

By doing what you do, but with a ten year head start.  In fact, you'd have over double the number of posts he has if you'd started when he did and had kept your current pace throughout.

Ugh, what a horrific thought.

Why don't you like me and what is your political philosophy?

Probably MSNBC, though they don't openly lie nearly as much. Both networks, of course, are tools of the bourgeois establishment.

That post came closer to the truth than any other post in that thread so far. Of course that's a complement on the level if saying that one is healthier than the Bushie family.

Here's a post about Chile that actually deserves to be here:

Wow, I actually had no idea that the anniversary of this horrible event was today as well, though I guess my thoughts have understandably been on another matter. Certainly an example of imperialistic US foreign policy worth remembering.

How so?  The CIA wasn't really involved in the coup.

Meh, he may have done some bad things, but hey, nobody said he was perfect, right?  I don't think his accomplishments were significant enough to merit a holiday.  After all, he didn't really "discover" America or the New World; he just made it known to Europe.

It's funny how Oldiesfreak is among the most racist posters on Atlas.

If you are calling Ernest's posting of what TNF said into the deluge as absurd, then I am posting your condemnation of Ernest's condemnation here.

BeccaM claimed to be Melissa Midwest in 2008-2009 so we can reasonably doubt that we're dealing with a woman.

Tweed has obviously been catfished too many times to trust women on the internet.

It's a shame BeccaM doesn't post any more.  The pictures she posted of herself showed her to be super smokin' hot.

The fact that the pictures weren't of her and that she was actually a dude are irrelevant.

To be fair you'd have to be some kind of depraved masochist to be a woman and post pics of yourself on this forum.

I posted one once but I had a bag over my head #swagg

OK, so I made a sexist joke about BeccaM that was over the line. The joke was that women are viewed as nagging and unintelligent. Was it on Daniel Tosh levels? I don't think so, but since so many of you, including some friends of mine, took me seriously (for once), I am offering a semi serious apology.

I posted this straight to the deluge to make your jobs easier.

The problem is not a matter of taking you seriously or not, it's that you made a joke like that in the first place.
Dude, it’s a joke. Get over the phony feminism, it’s quite annoying. It didn't mean anything. For that matter, reread my joke. It wasn’t even a complete joke as I never said all women were like BeccaM; just that I don’t want any women IF they were all like her.

Do you post anything other than insulting memes to avoid making any serious points?
Yes, when I'm talking with someone who can actually make coherent and legitimate arguments.

Marijuana obviously. It actually has a purpose and is basically harmless, unlike tobacco, which is disgusting, harmful and absolutely useless.

Going back to the JFK kerfuffle:

Max, I understand your grandma's predicament during JFK's presidency, but to be frank...there are other ways of viewing a Presidency. My grandmother is currently living on foodstamps and medicare, and that does not greatly alter my view of Obama. Granted, I dislike Obama to begin with, but the fact that my grandmother is not financially stable is not the President's fault. JFK prevented WWIII, he didn't cause it. His willingness to approach the Cuban Missile Crisis in the diplomatic fashion that he did ultimately spared the world of a global conflict. Did he nearly drop the ball on it? Sure. But you can't say Nixon would have handled it better, and I'd go far enough to say that a Nixon presidency in 1960 would have caused WWIII without a doubt. JFK was President for just under 3 years, so he didn't have the opportunity to enact a full-scale plan to increase the United States' economic standing. TLDR, you cannot blame JFK for your grandmother's unfortunate situation, just like I can't blame Obama for my grandmother's unfortunate situation. You have to look at the presidency as a whole, and JFK did more good than harm in the short time he was President.
I'm not judging his presidency on my grandmothers circumstances. Just making a comparision that I find amusing. I have plenty of reasons why I think Kennedy was a horrible President; in fact, I am writing an English paper on the subject that is coming up due soon.

This ain't the place to debate Kennedy, but I am a Nixon buff and I am quite sure that he would have handled everything better, as vile and disgusting as he was.

Anyway, here is a gem from BRTD. I'm not ant-pot, I just despise BRTD's logic.
