Fox News is paying tons of attention to it. Elsewhere, not so much.

Even if it gains traction, it shouldn't have any effect on Trump's approval ratings.

Sure it will. It changes the topic, and puts Trump back on the offensive. Come on dude, think a bit...

Gallup's polling isnt reliable. Trump and his gaffes has made his election prospects dim

None of the polls are reliable for you when they don’t report what you want to see.

47/51 is probably where Trump approvals are not enough for an EC landslide like polls have been inflating Biden's poll, but a 278 to 260 map reaffirming the blue wall

Trump will win EC with 47%.

GWB got his approvals over 70% at the start of the Iraq War. We all know how quickly that changed. My point? People are fickle, and polls are a snapshot of the past, they say nothing at all about the future. So stop trying to infer that they do. Thanks.

Both Suffolk and Emerson, two of Trump's best pollsters, have Trump underwater by a substantial margin. So I'm going to put very little stock into Gallup.

Cherry picking polls like this is why you’ll be disappointed if you lose.

Gallup is getting embarrasing. Not only with their +2 approval poll, but their +1 handling of the virus.

Also this:

Quote
47% of independents approve of the job he is doing as president, the highest Gallup has measured for the group to date.

Sure, jan

It’s actually very plausible to have a slightly higher rating for a current crisis compared to your overall job....

And in this case, it’s also a statistical tie. You don’t really have a point.

The last 6 Harris X polls have been

49/51
46/54
50/50
48/52
50/50
51/49

They have been very favorable to Trump this past year. More so than Rasmussen. Regardless, that's why we have aggregates.

Also, an incumbent up two in a single output of a poll during a crisis against a lukewarm opponent is apparently "winning".

51 for an impeached Russian agent with unemployment at 14%....

Trump has a general election floor of 46%. Luckily sleepy Joe doesn’t garner much enthusiasm so Trump can easily win EC with 47%+

Where the poll taken recently showing he's at 50 or more?

Not saying you're wrong, just genuinely curious.

The Hill, May 13-14, although you can argue that that’s a bit dated at this point though, but still...

The RCP average for Trump's approval rating on his handling of COVID-19 has his net approval declining at a pretty rapid pace.

It now stands at -10.9, compared to -3 last month. The latest ABC poll hasn't been entered yet.

My approval of this entire hysteria has gone down as well, to be fair.

"Hysteria?" I dare you to tell anyone who lost a loved one to this virus that they are being "hysterical."

People die every day....sad and tragic part of life but such as it is 40 million have lost their jobs, which impacts millions more by extension (families, children...), and another generation in succession lost due to stupid economic polices. So how about you go and tell them, and while you’re at it, go tell the half billion who will be plunged into poverty and starvation worldwide because of the shutdowns.1

In fact, science is now showing the shutdowns to be really harmful. Suicide and drug overdoses within the deaths from despair. So go and tell those victims of the Hysteria as well. Isolate the vulnerable and stop being clowns.

This is the samething SN2903 keeps talking about but Biden still leads Trump by 5 or more

Polls aren’t predictive. You’d be best served by not paying attention to them until Sept/Oct.

It’s 100% true.

That's not true at all, but sure.

Nice try.  The president's approval related to the protests is -17 and Biden's is +8 in this poll.

Then Biden is in real trouble if he is only +4 in the head to head, but is crushing on the issue de jour....

For my fellow Democrats fidgeting over the fact Trump is still hovering at just over 40% despite everything that has happened, consider the fact that during the Democratic landslides of 1932 and 1964, Herbert Hoover and Barry Goldwater (respectively) managed to win just under 40% of the popular vote while suffering crushing defeat in the electoral college.   1936 was an even bigger landslide for Franklin D. Roosevelt than 1932, and the Republican nominee still won 36.5% of the popular vote.  There will always be a hard core of supporters for any presidential nominee, and Donald Trump is no different.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Trump will get at least 45% in the election. Now 45% will see him lose, of course - even in the EC. But thinking the bottom will fall? No chance. Different era. (1932 is not far from 100 years ago. Really? Come on, man).

Polls are useless at this moment, because they are about to go up with the economy starting to hum again. Nice one.

In this case, polling below 45% approval in June correlates 100% with losing reelection in November.

Correct word. But who gives a damn the correlation?

Shame they relationship you were looking for that doesn’t exist is casual.
