Whoa. Ferguson's prediction above me was rather short-lived:

Hitler was arguably to the left of Bernie Sanders on economics. Bill would be a moderate Republican if it was only for economics.

Well it's about time I'm on here (Insert clapping emoji)

To get back on topic, I don't think Bernie called for public ownership of the means of production or total government control of private industry.

Ah, so somebody said Hitler was left-wing again. *drink*

I called him left-wing on economics. He was far-right on everything else.

I don't know about the '50s/60's, but he and Bill Clinton governed as moderate Republicans so it's definitely possible.

“Moderate Republican Obama” is well a take, but I expect nothing better for someone who loves Dr. Oz and is literally the epitome of the #populist LARP meme. Also finally good candidate to name this thread after.

I don't have a hateful or racist bone in my body. Even with that statement, I have no regrets defending you because you didn't deserve to get bullied, nobody does. People are more than their political beliefs. I'm not sure if I offended you in other ways, but I'm sorry if I have.

Just yet another reason the 19th amendment was a mistake, if they want the vote, they should have their husband or father decide for them.

Mass incarceration is based. The countries with the highest incarceration rates (USA, Uruguay, Bahamas) tend to be better countries to live in than those with the lowest incarceration rates (Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Guinea-Bissau).
Poverty not incarceration is the reason the standard of living is higher

Yeah, and by keeping bad actors incarcerated, you help create a more stable society, which is the most important thing for economic growth.

That’s true but it was also an argument used to legalize slavery and one of the reasons the South was so reluctant to abolish  it.

All the thread shows is that this forum has become an echo chamber and in this case an echochamber for condoning genocide.
FDR & Churchill is a much closer comparison
