Depending on where you live, it's socially undesirable to vocalize support for Biden nowadays
No one wants to admit they are voting for a guy who hasn't done very much and the economy sucks but at the end of the day you will still suck it up . Are there voters like this on the D side?

Generally speaking, shy Democrats aren't necessarily those who live in conservative communities, but those who live in conservative households. For example, a woman whose husband is a Trump supporter and would be very unhappy to hear that she was voting Democrat.

Just yet another reason the 19th amendment was a mistake, if they want the vote, they should have their husband or father decide for them.

Perhaps some, but I think the "Shy Trump voter" will be far more numerous.

Or maybe the “Shy DeSantis voter”.

Regardless given than Trump is regularly winning head-to-heads with Biden it’s clear the “Shy Trump voter” is not as much of a big thing as it was in 2016 and 2020.

I don’t think I’ve ever met one shy Trump supporter in my entire life.

Why is the "shy ___ voter" the only source of polling error that people have heard of?

Agreed, the most common error is poor sampling and waiting, hell the notorious 1936 poll which predicted a Landon landslide victory.
