GA Update: Trump's margin down to 47,000.

Is there any chance Georgia might be called tonight? Or it might end up too close (whether it's for Trump or for Biden)?

I'm so confused as to why they seem so confident.

This election makes me glad that Manchin was up for reelection in 2018 instead of this year.  If he was running this year, he would have gotten annihilated.

Yeah, I have a hard time rooting for Manchin. I realize he has to watch his back as a red state Democrat, but half the time he doesn't even side with the party.

Eh. I feel he would stick with the party on any issue where his vote actually matters. I doubt he would have voted for Kavanaugh, had he been the 51st vote.

Pennsylvania should just be called already. Biden would be at 273, and everyone can get back to doing things with their lives. the last three days, i have accomplished absolutely nothing because I keep checking on the results with confusion and a bit of anxiety.

I would honestly prefer they call it once Biden pulls ahead. I think a call for Biden while Trump is still leading will just add fuel to the fire.

I'm relieved. I really wanted Non-Atlas Blue Arizona for some reason.

LOL at all the love for McCain. Dems are now the party of Reagan/Bush.

Indeed.  The first line in Mark Kelly's election night speech was that he'd be a senator "like John McCain."

Is that what Democrats want in 2020, lol?  I mean, I guess it may be the best you can get in Arizona, but it certainly doesn't sound like Kelly will be a reliable vote for Schumer on big issues.

The DINOs in the Senate will be Manchin, Sinema and Kelly (at least until 2022, when Kelly's "moderation" won't be enough to save him in a Biden midterm)

That's just posturing. Kelly won't break with the caucus on any meaningful votes. He will be just like Collins.

Eh, nothing good to say. At least we're getting an upgrade with the first lady, Jill seems like a pretty decent person. Incredibly low bar though.

Wait. You support Donald Trump, but have a problem with Melania?

Anyone know when the president-elect is going to be addressing the nation?

CNN said he will talk this evening from Wilmington.

Did they specify a time? I don't want to miss it,

I missed the specific time unfortunately.

Susan Collins would, unironically, be a fairly good and qualified Transportation secretary in a Biden administration.

Why would Collins want this job? Is being Secretary of Transportation a more powerful position than being the median US Senator?

Maybe he could offer to appoint her to SCOTUS if she votes for court packing.

Stupid question probably, but don't you need to have a degree in law to become a justice?
