There’s an old guy at my work who literally listens to some country music song about Hillary Clinton being a liar, should be in jail, etc... on like full blast in the break room even with a bunch of people in there. I’ve heard him talking to Siri, asking about Hillary Clinton a couple times before as well. Literally every single time I’m in the break room with him (basically every day), he’s preoccupied with Hillary Clinton. What the hell is wrong with some people? It was 2 years ago, leave it the hell alone.

Go in there and blast some salvos back of "fight song", if he is obsessed with HRC as much as you claim, he'll recognize it immediately.

2019 has begun as literally the worst year in my life. Days after almost losing my job and needing to pay $630 in emergency bills, I crash into a truck after less than 5 months in my awesome little car on an unsalted road. Ohio weather is just wonderful, one day thunderstorms with 50F weather next day SUDDEN BLIZZARD.

Things could be worse: I have no health insurance as Obamacare referred me back to state medicaid and they're never going to contact me after kicking me off last summer. I have no choice but to find a private provider.

The public option will never happen. People don't realize it, especially people like me, but Atlas is a pro-labor anti-neoliberal bubble. I tried talking to Democrats on another forum and they were singing praises of Bush Jr. and were confused as to why I, a fair trader, wasn't just going to vote for Trump. After all I'm a "single issue voter" (wrong) "for corporate rent seeking"

The cherry on top is where I go to play DND with friends, it's become as loud as a school cafeteria and I wasn't able to have fun.

Scores have now been posted. jaichind with top score of 33 state wins and 31 state percentages.  Top state wins, however, goes to Bagel23 but state percentages in this prediction are not selected properly.

Enjoy,
Dave

Holy sh!t, I did something right.

The US government should actively work more to block and censor ISIS and other terrorist propaganda on the web, and don’t care about the people screaming 1st amendment.

My mind has been so ed for the past year now. I always beat myself up for no reason, but I just genuinely think there's no way I could actually do it. I'm an ugly boy, and that's just something I need to admit to myself. I can't do it. I'm not a girl. There's no way I could fit in. I just can't imagine a way in which I'm not a disgusting freak show. I need to stop lying to myself. I can't be a girl. It's something I need to admit to myself before I ruin myself. I'll never be valid. I'll never love myself. I'll never be happy.

We Atlasians like you. It does not matter how you look, most of us think you are an ff. If you can have such status on an online platform with strangers, I am sure that you either have or can achieve it in real life. You are not alone, both in the sense that this is the norm for millions people our age out there and for what it is worth, you will always have someone to talk to. If not people in your real life, there are many here in the Atlasian community that are available to talk to, so you may be in hardship, but you will never be completely alone. I wish there was more that we could do, but I can promise that you will never be unheard and alone. I know from personal experience that things ring like a hollow tree when things are not backed up physically, but better to have a tree, hollow or not, than none at all.

Tonight, I've finally been able to accept and admit to myself what I've somewhat known for a while and have been told that I have by those living with this condition and those educated on it. I have PTSD. It's gotten better over time, but it hasn't gone away. All that has really happened is that I've been pretty well removed from my worst "triggers" and able to exist without too much intense stress. Now that I've gotten a new job, one that's in retail, fast-paced, and heavily customer service oriented, I've noticed my old symptoms reappearing and making life very difficult for me.

I have constant brain fog, which is sometimes so bad that it completely ruins my short term memory. For example, two days ago I was labeling documents for a customer, turned my focus to something else for a moment, then returned and asked them who labeled that document. They looked at me with shock and said, "you just did that." Things like that are common for me at work now. My hearing is also awful when I'm like that, I can hardly retain any information, I constantly catch myself holding my breath, and I feel like I'm on some kind of autopilot that I'm not controlling when it gets particularly bad (like when a customer is being awful, especially yelling, which is a major trigger for me).

I hate that my mind's like this and I know that I need counseling and medication, which I'll hopefully be able to receive now that I finally have insurance (despite me fighting having to go to a doctor - especially a counselor). It kind of feels good to accept it and my experiences over the years make more sense in light of this revelation. But, where to go from here, especially with the limitations it places on me (even if only temporarily)...

Are you a combat vet or something?

So apparently, the TV in my living room has an internet browser built in, and Atlas actually works! I'm posting this off of it right now. I actually got a USB mouse and keyboard plugged in as typing with a remote is a chore, but as I kept typing, it kept reloading the page, so I decided to give both of my hands a long and gruesome workout.

Lol, that seems inconvenient.

So I walked into a classroom today, and I saw "rebublican>democrat" written on the board. And I chuckled and told the kid who wrote it up on there, if that is what you choose to say, at least spell it right lmao. And I kid you not, he tried arguing with me for like over a minute about how it was not misspelled.

I can't stop fixating on all my shortcomings in life and how much I want to end it and I really don't know what to do about it.  It's become impossible for me to focus on anything productive and I cannot even begin to pull myself out of this emotional hole because all I can focus on is my own suffering.

After a while it just becomes impossible to lie to yourself about your own unhappiness.

No Scott, don't get down in the blues, you are worthy of life. Regardless of what you think of me, I think you are an ff, and one of the only good people on this forum. Please stay with us Sad.

I've decided to begin learning computer coding and programming via online sources. My BA in Sociology simply isn't amounting to much career-wise. Although I've landed a job that, when I take and (hopefully) pass my national exam, will increase my pay to $16.30/hr, that's certainly not enough to make for a comfortable life or pay off my student loans. Not to mention that I don't want to do this particular job forever.

So, I want to open new opportunities for myself by learning web design. I know it'll take a while to learn, but I'm determined to do so. Establishing a career in the field will be a bit more difficult without a degree in a STEM field, but from what I've read, it's certainly not impossible.

Does anyone have any helpful advice?

Get a bachelor's in something more useful, and work your @$$ off in high school to get a good scholarship so you won't have to worry about crippling student debt. Starting this fall semester, my cost of attendance is literally going to be like 3k a semester. I'll have so little student debt if I graduate.

My student history teacher just said Hitler was a Socialist.

My science teacher is just completely giving up on their job lol. They have said multiple times in the past couple of weeks that sometimes they wonder why they even attempt to teach us, and they were absent today, and made the test open note and open laptop.

Long story short, I don’t have to go the Bahamas, but I am at the airport dropping my sister off with my dad (he is not going), and both of them went inside and ditched me with the car in the dropoff zone, and I have been sitting here for over half an hour in a zone you are not supposed to park in. I also don’t even have a license, so I’m just sitting here with the car turned off. Hopefully he comes back soon.

UGH I kinda hope the car just gets towed away to teach him a lesson.

Dude, this is getting so annoying, if some airport personnel asks me to move, I’m just going to tell me my dad left me with the car can you take it away?

What an @$$hole move, if he knew he would be gone for so long, park the car in a proper place.

He told me to sit in the driver seat so the car looks occupied, and people have just been honking at me every 5 minutes.

Been over an hour now.

Finally he came back.

Yeah, that's not a good move. You could've been in trouble too.

I agree it's a bad move, I was not really concerned with airport personnel, since I doubt they would have gotten me in trouble as a minor without a license just sitting there with the car parked, because my dad told me to. They would probably would have gotten him in trouble and also tow the car (which I don't give a crap if it gets towed, it would teach him a lesson, give me satisfaction, and also we would have just uber'd home where there are two other cars to use until he repo'd the one he drove there). I was more concerned about the pissed off people who were honking every five minutes and knocking on the car, I still have no idea how no airport personnel came out to the vehicle. I sat there continuously for like an hour and twenty minutes. I think he was too cheap to cough up the few bucks for proper short term parking, which was like just a few dozen yards away, and he knew he was going to be in there for a while, even told me to hop in the drivers seat and pretend to look busy.

I should be doing my work but instead I'm scouring the depths of my school's website to see if I can change my name in their system.

EDIT: Got the job done, the counselor deadnamed me and called me "sir" as I was leaving. I want to f[inks]ing kill myself.

Don't let it get to you, douchebags akin to me are not worth your time getting upset over.

I find that hard to believe. I mean, besides Love Field. Oh wait, that one they keep hidden away and hard to find.

But then, I'll probably drive through Austin on my way back to College Station in a few weeks.

Sorry, I just disagree. Love Field is so easy to find. Literally head some blocks west hop on the tollway, head west some more, and it is right there. 15-20 minute drive on an average day.

I got an apple watch for my birthday, the thing is pretty useless, I am afraid I will break it, so I probably won’t wear it much. I told my dad that this is not useful and I won’t wear it every day, he looked a little disappointed, but he should have known that.
