Started hormone replacement therapy. An estradiol and a spironolactone pill a day. Student insurance made it so that they only cost about $12 a month.

I'm taking a break from the forum until I have something worthwhile to show for my 50,000th post.

I’d say for post #50,000 should write up a retrospective or something.

So I walked into a classroom today, and I saw "rebublican>democrat" written on the board. And I chuckled and told the kid who wrote it up on there, if that is what you choose to say, at least spell it right lmao. And I kid you not, he tried arguing with me for like over a minute about how it was not misspelled.

Terrible back pain this am. I'm getting old.

I'm only 19 and I sometimes have back pain as well, but I think there's a NSFW reason for that, which I won't get into here 🤣

Cadbury's have combined Bourneville and Dairy Milk into one bar, which I've thought was an amazing idea for years. I may have been wrong.

I was offered a fellowship today right when I’m in the process of trying to sell out. Not happy about this.

Do you seriously think implying I'm gay is a humorous insult?

I can't stop fixating on all my shortcomings in life and how much I want to end it and I really don't know what to do about it.  It's become impossible for me to focus on anything productive and I cannot even begin to pull myself out of this emotional hole because all I can focus on is my own suffering.

After a while it just becomes impossible to lie to yourself about your own unhappiness.

Hang in there Scott.  You have a lot to live for.

You're right to be honest about feeling unhappy, as denying feelings doesn't help, but things get better.  Please get professional help and help from elsewhere.  I wish you the best.

I just cast my first ever vote today and so did my parents. I voted Nomiki Konst but I get the feeling they voted for a Republican. Like some other Russian Jews who came to the USA around the same time, they have this FOX News viewer-ish mentality when it comes to American politics. I think the fact that they view the GOP as being more pro-Israel also helps.

First time I'm not at CPAC in years this year.  I'm going on a big vacation in April, so I didn't feel I had the PTO days to use so soon in the year.  When I see others' pictures there, I do miss it so much!

I've decided to begin learning computer coding and programming via online sources. My BA in Sociology simply isn't amounting to much career-wise. Although I've landed a job that, when I take and (hopefully) pass my national exam, will increase my pay to $16.30/hr, that's certainly not enough to make for a comfortable life or pay off my student loans. Not to mention that I don't want to do this particular job forever.

So, I want to open new opportunities for myself by learning web design. I know it'll take a while to learn, but I'm determined to do so. Establishing a career in the field will be a bit more difficult without a degree in a STEM field, but from what I've read, it's certainly not impossible.

Does anyone have any helpful advice?

Get a bachelor's in something more useful, and work your @$$ off in high school to get a good scholarship so you won't have to worry about crippling student debt. Starting this fall semester, my cost of attendance is literally going to be like 3k a semester. I'll have so little student debt if I graduate.
