Cuomo is such a paranoid egotistical nut that he got Elton John to endorse him to fend off Nixon's star power

I trust Cuomo to run NY more than I trust an actress.

I'd support Teachout if she ran again though.

"I support Cynthia Nixon." - Zephyr Teachout via Twitter

Good. Throw the bum Cuomo out

Crooked Cuomo really doesn't want Democrats to regain the state Senate:

Vote Nixon

Very normal.

But no punishment for the IDC that he had to get to pretend to be Democrats for the next 6 months. Such a hypocrite.

Forget the IDC....Cuomo signed off in the most gerrymandered state Senate in the US

For that reason alone the bum should be thrown out

Should somehow Nixon somehow manage to beat clown Cuomo....you can bet he'd run a scorched Earth third party campaign against Nixon....even if it means the Dems losing

Nixon will obviously lose but hopefully her primary challenge and Miner's 3rd party run will push Cuomo to the left enough for him to pass voting rights legislation and to stop signing off on the most gerrymandered state legislature districts in the country

Cuomo blew it but nobody watches these debates and NY's terrible voting laws ensures only the right people vote anyway so Cuomo wins

I dunno. The system only works when there is low turnout, and even then, it didnt work in the house races. If the Weinstein controversy sticks, and Nixon ramps it up, then I say its a tossup.

NY is a weird state. It essentially has Jim Crow voting laws that ensure the establishment can never be meaningfully challenged. Until the IDC garbage is crushed and the State Senate flips....nothing will change and connoisseurs of fraud like Cuomo will just keep winning.

True, but it does seem like things are changing. The IDC is afraid, many of them look likely to lose their primaries, and Teachout seems to be the favorite for the AG position now.

The IDC will be crushed and the State Senate will flip in November but it'll be too late by then. Crooked Cuomo will be the nominee and i wouldn't be surprised if he starts vetoing progressive legislation regarding voting rights, marijuana, etc...

Cuomo is many things, but he is not an idiot. If he does that, it means he isn't running for President, something he desperately wants to do...so I think he'd sign such legislation (especially any voting rights legislation).

The campaign contributions (bribes) Cuomo has taken signal to me that he never prepared for the State Senate to flip and his whole IDC scam to come tumbling down. I would imagine, anyone who's spent their political lifetime taking bribes from these people would have to pay them back somehow.

Forgive me if this has already been said but what is the likelihood of the IDC incumbents being defeated?

Nobody will know until election day

Most polls had Gillum in the margin of error by primary day.

the only polls that captured Gillum breaking out of the teens — or really showing any positive motion — were the final St. Pete poll (Florida's only decent pollster) and his own internal.

& yeah, very disappointing move by Bernie. no idea why he expects anything he does to curry any favor with andrew fking cuomo, or what he expects to gain from this.

Because hes going to run in 2020 and he wants to win NY in the primary so hes not going to double cross Cuomo

you are placing a remarkable amount of faith in andrew cuomo's sense of fairness

oh I'm not but. NY is a corrupt establishment machine state through and through and if Sanders is going to run again...you just cant cross Cuomo.

IDK if bringing any voting rights cases before the SCOTUS is a good idea with a solid Conservative majority now.

The case should be brought before the NY state Supreme Court instead

Predictions for IDC vs. Democrats state senate primaries tomorrow?

Mine are:

District 11: Tossup (Liu if forced to choose)
District 13:  Likely Ramos
District 20: Lean Myrie
District 23: Likely Savino/IDC
District 31: Likely Jackson
District 34: Tossup (Biaggi if forced to choose)
District 38: Lean Carlucci/IDC
District 53: Likely Valesky/IDC

Its hard to predict the end result but I just really want to see Klein go down in flames.
