The Fetterman=Bryce comparisons are very lazy, are you just looking at them and assuming they're similar because of their build and perhaps some of their rhetoric? Otherwise I see literally no reason, Fetterman and Bryce are very different in just about everyway they could be.

Except they’re really not all that different...

Uh aside from being blue collar looking white guys they basically have nothing in common. Bryce was some random perennial candidate with a dodgy legal background, Fetterman is the state's sitting Lt. Governor with an impressive mayoral record and no real scandals. Fetterman is also a proven strong campaigner, Bryce had no real strength in that.

Has Lamb shifted to right since entering congress in 2018? I feel like opinion of him was fairly positive in 2018 in the aftermath of that special election. If I remember correctly, he was even mentioned as senate, gov or VP material. Now seems like nobody really likes him.

Vote wise not really. But he's trying to run to the right now in a statewide primary which is bizarre considering how conservative his original district was. And he's running a garbage campaign.

Lamb's 2018 campaign in comparison to now is like the quality difference of The Empire Strikes Back and The Rise of Skywalker.

Doesn't look like a great pollster to put it mildly, but both Fetterman and Lamb's campaigns were claiming Fetterman had a 30 point lead just a few weeks ago.

For better or worse, Lamb’s clearly doing something wrong if he’s still getting crushed by Fetterman.  At this point, all my concerns still stand and I think Fetterman underperform in the GE.  However, I hope Fetterman proves me wrong and kicks some a** this November!  Congrats, Sawx and hopefully the party does the right the thing and does everything it can to elect Fetterman when he (presumably) gets nominated in a few weeks.

What exactly is so wrong with Fetterman? The only points I've heard is the jogger thing (which at this point I think it's obvious it has as much sticking power as whatever was the deal with Hunter Biden's laptop) and...that he's been photographed wearing shorts in public?

Fetterman's strength in areas like Erie is insane. 80% of the vote is just wow.

The alternatives were a guy who no one outside of part of Philly cares about and a guy who ran a Martha Coakley-tier campaign, not shocking.

The real challenge for Oz is going to be towing the fine line between distancing from Trump and embracing him as well as moderating on social issues and going to the right on economic and cultural ones.

Fetterman, on the other hand, has a unified Democratic party. I don't see him doing that well in the Philly suburbs.

As for Fetterman, this is definitely an accomplishment given the fact that he's a member of the progressive wing. He has certainly managed to gain support from the moderate and establishment wing, which is not always the norm. I think it would be very beneficiary for progressives to be more like Fetterman and less like the Squad.

Some of it is definitely how Fetterman looks.  It'd be interesting to show a side-by-side to a person who had no idea who either candidate was and ask them "which one is the Republican and which one is the Democrat"?

Of course those guys obviously aren't often candidates for office.

I think the most devastating thing about the crudites video is that he claims to be in a "Wegner's" grocery store, which is a chain that does not exist. He basically merged the names of two chains, "Redner's" which is a popular chain in Pennsylvania and "Wegmans" which is an upscale chain in New Jersey that he's probably more used to. Furthermore this is even more embarrassing than if he had simply called it a "Wegmans" because that has a bunch of locations in the Philly suburbs as well, so he proved that not only is he not familiar with the Pennsylvania chain but also that he seems unaware that Wegmans exist in Pennsylvania as well.

Because it's not just that he's weak, but Fetterman is curbstomping him in the messaging war. Basically every single one of his attacks not only falls flat but ends up with an absolutely brutal counterattack.

I am from PA, I never once heard of "Crudites".

It's not a regional thing, it's just a French word that's little more than a fancy way of saying "vegetable tray." When I first saw that video I initially assumed that it was some sort of vegetable quiche or soup or something like ratatouille, because no normal talks about making "making" a vegetable tray, and the stuff he was pulling didn't make much sense...who eats asparagus raw? And how does that stuff go with guacamole or salsa instead of ranch dressing? There's also the fact that he reads the price tags wrong, pulls some weird sizes, and doesn't even use a basket or cart which kind of puts into perspective that he's clearly not shopping for his wife and probably hasn't done his own grocery shopping in years.

But the single most embarrassing thing about that is he completely butchers the store name, and both shows that he's unfamiliar with Redner's and also that Wegmans exists in Pennsylvania too.

It's rather ironic how Dr. Oz decries socialism considering how often he's publicly owned.

I think what's kind of being alluded to is that Oz doesn't really have anything going in his favor. Even the crankiest Trumpy lunatic candidates can fire up the Trumpists, despite Trump's endorsement Oz doesn't do that (And he got bad luck in that Mastriano could but his whole campaign seems to be going on right-wing podcasts and begging for money), there was also an assumption he'd have good skills working the media but that's clearly not the case, hosting a TV show is a completely different skill. The last assumption is he'd have special appeal to a certain type of suburban woman who watches his show, kind of missing that people who religiously follow daytime talk shows as opposed to just casually catching them whenever there's nothing better to do is not all that high, he's not that iconic of a figure compared to Oprah and all the criticism of his show is massive baggage on him, I think the Republicans had a tendency to just write off all the proof of the pseudo-scientific junk he hawked as "fake news" like they do anything negative about Trump but are now learning that normie voters don't do that. That leaves him with no real strengths.

Where's that total of $4 million in R-Gov spending coming from? Mastriano doesn't even have a fraction of that on hand. Are outside PACs and GOP groups actually blowing money on him? I thought they all pulled out months ago.
