I've always known what crudite is. But I am a Bergen County resident like Oz. I also don't think I would ever run for office in Pennsylvania. I think I'll spare myself what Oz is going through.

I'm trying to imagine what an extremely obvious NJ carpetbagger would look like:

Running in North Jersey and calls it "pork roll" or running in South Jersey and calls it "Taylor ham"

Says "going to the beach" instead of "down the shore"

Not knowing how to answer "What exit?"

The problem for Oz is that his appeal is to Ds not Rs whom are gonna vote for Fetterman anyways Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey owns Oz and Dr Phil that's like Dr Phil running for R Gov of IL, he would lose because his Appeal towards D and the majority of white females 56/45 are Ds, that's why his attacks aren't working

I’d probably try it.

I suppose the Washington equivalent would be something like “Worshington has many lovely cities like ‘seh-quim’ and ‘poo-yallup.’”

The South Carolina equivalent would be saying “summter” “clemmson” (we through a p in both) not knowing what frogmore stew/low country boil is. Not having a favorite type of BBQ (South Carolina is a mix of ketchup and vinegar based)

Does Oz consider this to be a "sloppy joe"?

That actually looks pretty good. I've had subs like that, but I'm not sure what it's called. I do know it's not a sloppy joe though, lmao.

That's actually what's called a sloppy joe in New Jersey, seriously.

Oz is spiraling

*sighs*

"Candidate X is the most radical/liberal candidate in state X's history" is such a ridiculously tiresome trope from republicans. I'm pretty sure I've never heard the republican candidate NOT say this about the dem candidate in any statewide race in any state in my entire life. They're just so....literally bankrupt of anything original or insightful to say about anything whatsoever. Of course Oz takes it to a whole other level b/c you can tell he's never said anything that some campaign consultant didn't tell him to say.

I just lost my dad (sorry not trying to be a downer haha) and this made me spit-laugh b/c he always said "worsh" for "wash" and "worshington" for "washington" LMAO. It was never not funny to me.

In California it would be like if the candidate went to Trader Joe's, and like called it like, you know, Walmart. That would be so like over the top and like honestly it would make me like you know not want to vote for them.

That's actually news to me. I only recently heard about loose meat sandwiches because I know people that like to watch Roseanne reruns. Apparently, it's a non-NJ sloppy joe without the Manwich.

My condolences. I've actually heard people say it like that, but not since I was a kid. I never knew where that came from tbh.

Wasn't the Wegner's crudité ad from several months ago, well before the primary?  Why is it suddenly blowing up now?

Edit: Yes, it was on April 5th.

Yep, it looks like umichvoter on Twitter randomly found it and posted it, and then it went viral. I've been locked into this race and never saw the original in April, so I assume most didn't either and just saw it for the first time this week.

It's interesting to observe the segmentation of Fetterman's message. You have sick meme dunks to fire up the online donor crowd (and, as we can see, those people are making those themselves now and Oz's people are feeding them #content without a care in the world). Then for the actual PA audience, those memes are paying for, on the one hand, reminding people that Oz is a quack who sells miracle weight loss cures he doesn't even believe in and that the GOP is anti-choice:

and on the other hand, stuff like this:

Insofar as there's a thrust to Oz's campaign beyond 'I deserve this', on the other hand, it's him trying to do the handwringing respectable Tory 'I have a sensible economic plan and my opponent is a radical liable to ruin everything' thing. Except 1) this is Pennsylvania and 2) Oz is a totally contemptible figure who doesn't have credibility with the sort of voter who could potentially buy that message in another context, if not necessarily against a reasonably respected statewide official.

With the new POS (R) poll, 538 now gives Fetterman a 68 in 100 chance of winning. That's slightly more than Ron Johnson, who has a 67 in 100 chance. LOL

My high school guitar teacher once said that there was a Beatles song to rebut every common overgeneralized criticism of them. Come to think of it, Oz and Piero Scaruffi have pretty similar vibes...

All the "Fetterman can't win a race off Twitter dunks alone, nyuk nyuk nyuk" people aren't paying attention. His campaign is firing on all cylinders.
