In the NY system they don't get to bring the jury instructions back with them.

No, because by bringing the case through a proxy they can claim they are not involved, when in fact they are.
And don't play dumb.
Bragg would never have brought the charges if Biden had told him not to.

Why didn't Biden just tell Vance to bring the charges? He passed on this case.

Biden didn't tell anyone to bring any charges.
He just didn't stop anyone from bringing charges.

Either you're very confused or just trolling at this point.

As for the questions, given that they're in relation to Pecker (mostly) and Cohen, seems bad for Trump. I'd imagine they want to confirm the corroboration between the two for sure.

And they might think they need to because the jury instructions said they're not allowed to convict on Cohen's testimony alone unless they can corroborate it with other evidence. That doesn't mean they need to have this testimony read back to them, but it's possible they're trying to dot the i's here.

He contracted himself in a way that shot down the entire argument, that's why I said that.

I'm looking forward to seeing what additional questions or requests the jury has tomorrow, after they hear this testimony and the instructions in the morning, and if maybe we will get a verdict.

Trump has been posting quotes all day, I thought I'd share this one.

Quote
Judge Jeanine Pirro: “This is a kangaroo court…It was a sad day for me. I sat with Andy McCarthy and Jonathan Turley and Trey Gowdy, and we were all like ‘This is unheard of.’”

The Representative of California's 54th CD.

If he's being serious then his judgment is very clouded on this issue or he doesn't understand how a trial works.🤷🏻‍♂️

Sounds like they want 45 minutes of the instructions read back to them and like 20-30 minutes of testimony.

Is it strictly *against* NY law to give them a copy of the instructions or just not typically done? Just insane that he has to spend another 45 mins on this when he could just give them a packet.

I think the defendant has to consent for them to have that. I think it's the law.

I think I agree this means they are focusing on intent but I don't think that necessarily means they're leaning towards convicting him. Maybe they think there's not enough evidence he had intent and want to make sure they didn't miss something.

2/3 Registered Voters in a new NPR/Marist Poll say Guilty Verdict would have no impact on their Preference when it comes to voting this November.

This is a garbarge Trial.

Meanwhile FOX Jonathan Turley says the re-read of the Cohen Testimony helped both sides and this is not a Slam Dunk anymore for the Prosecutors and that Clown DA Alvin Bragg.

I don't think anyone's said it was a slam dunk lol. I've heard many say it's not, compared to say the documents case which is a slam dunk if it's ever allowed to go to trial.

Thank you for summarizing my problems with this judge, because any good judge who wasn't a partisan would've seen the glaring problems with this case and thrown it out. It's very obviously a political hit job and this entire case has shown how utterly corrupt and a joke New York's court system is.

A federal judge also said this was a very serious case, when trump was trying to get it transferred to Federal court. It's not just this Manhattan judge.

But maybe multiple judges saying that it's a serious case means you could be wrong in your conclusion that it's not.

Of course the allegation is not that it was a random clerical error but done deliberately and repeatedly to hide their attempts to affect the election through unlawful means.

When i think "serious", I think of murder. Or rape. Or assault. Basically, someone got hurt. There was a victim. I do not consider a bookkeeping error made almost a decade ago "serious". I consider it to be a joke

This is such a weird comment - so something isn't a serious crime if it's not murder, rape, or assault? What? lol (also its much more than a bookkeeping error but just ignoring that)

If there was no victim, it's not serious. No one was harmed by any of the conduct alleged here.

The victim is the voters. I get you don't think it should be a crime, don't think he did the crime if it is, but in the crime alleged, that's the victim.

How likely is it that there will be a verdict today?

That's completely unknown lol. if you'd like my subjective guess, 25% chance today, and if not today then tomorrow is 50-50.

I also haven't seen that they've sent any notes since the readbacks unless I missed it.

Just came in from a run -- frankly I'm shocked.  Thought for sure we were going into Friday.

Glad you got back from your run in time. I've been hyper about keeping a tab or window of the news up the last 2 days lol
